Adegaborba.pt, Rose, 2006 (Alentejo, Portugal) - I've had good luck with their reds and was genuinely interested in their rose. The back label says you taste flowers and fruit and I don't really think that's the case, however, it was still a very pleasant and easy to drink rose and I'd score it upper average at 6 out of 10. Check it out.
Starborough, Sauvignon Blanc, 2008 (Marlborough, New Zealand) - I first tried this at the Boston Wine Expo and thought it was OK at the time. The label is a pretty sap green and has a starfish and vine image which is striking, and I remember at the Expo some twitty girl was praising the server over and over again for how beautiful their wine label was. Ho hum, it's OK. Anyway this was an acceptable New Zealand Sauv Blanc and had the characteristic grassiness, however, it's not the strongest flavor I've had from that region so I'd still simply call it lower average at 5 out of 10.
Frey, Natural White, Organic Wine (California) - I had their red and thought it was fine. Their white when we opened it first struck us as the typical lower average white, and that's fine, but then by the 2nd day it had actually taken an offensive flavor (I think it spoiled, despite being in the fridge). In the end I give it a 4 out of 10 for below average.
