Ravenswood, Vintner's Blend, Petite Syrah 2006, Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, Chardonnay 2007 (California) - This was once a boutique winery with a loyal following which got acquired by a large label and now churns out exponentially larger quantities of wine. Vintner's Blend was once referred to be the original ower as "Chateau Cash Flow" and clearly from the current tasting they must be turning a big profit on them. For $10-$12 you get wines that essentially taste $5 to $8. I'd call them all low average although the Petite Syrah was the better of the three and I managed to convince myself to just barely give that one a 6 out of 10 for upper average (the rest are 5's at most).
Turning Leaf Vineyards, Reserve Chardonnay, 2006 (California) - Simply just one more low average white wine with nothing special to make it stand out. In fact if this is truly their "reserve" then I'm really glad I didn't try their regular. 5 out of 10 for lower average.
