Wine Drank by John Jaster
I went from tea totaler to Wine Century Club member and have tried 156 different wine grapes in three years.
Dow's Reserve Tawny Boardroom Porto; Sandeman Character Medium Dry Amontillado

Dow's, Reserve Tawny, Boardroom, Porto (Portugal) - This is the first port I've tried by Dow and at $25 a bottle plus with the moniker of "Boardroom" I expected to be blown away.  The greatest thing about this port is it's rich and smooth, every glass feels like you're drinking something a knotch above the rest.  BUT, with that said, I personally thought there was very little complexity to it.  This port gives you a consistent classy "feel" of quality port but it doesn't give you any surprises.  I'd score it 7 out of 10 for above average, but to be honest I had expected higher.

Sandeman, Character, Medium Dry Amontillado Sherry (Spain) - I've had amontillado before but it was a long time ago.  This particular amontillado has gotten good reviews which I've read.  I found it rich and flavorful but really no more of a standout from past amontillado's I've had.  And although many bottles of wine I've reviewed I said got stronger as I got near the bottom of the bottle this amontillado was surprisingly the opposite, I'd swear it was thinning out.  So this is just 5 out of 10 for lower average.
