Wine Drank by John Jaster
I went from tea totaler to Wine Century Club member and have tried 156 different wine grapes in three years.
Vynecrest Lemberger; St Hallette Faith Shiraz; Yellow Tail Shiraz Grenache

Vynecrest Vineyards and Winery, Lemberger, 2006 (Lehigh County, Pennsylvania) - A friend of our wine tasting group at work brought this in and it was a unanimous hit.  Lemberger is the same as the Blaufrankisch grape.  It's a middle weight red with tastes of raspberries and blackberries and minimal tannins.  Quite enjoyable.  I'll happily give this a 7 out of 10 for above average.

St. Hallettt, Faith Shiraz, 2006 (Barossa, Australia) - St. Hallett is profiled in a book I have about the characters of a mix of Australian wineries so I was excited to try this.  I'd say I found it to be tasty, fresh, and not overdone, a quality product, but despite all of that I'd still just call it upper average, so 6 out of 10.

Yellow Tail, Shiraz Grenache, 2007 (South Eastern Australia) - An inexpensive red blend which is pretty good although you can tell from it's weight and blending that it is indeed a cheap wine.  Regardless, I'd happily drink this anytime, and I was pleased the Grenache wasn't simply overpowered by the Shiraz.  5 out of 10 for average.
