Wine Drank by John Jaster
I went from tea totaler to Wine Century Club member and have tried 156 different wine grapes in three years.
Hahn Merlot; Heron Cab; McWilliams Shiraz; Sauvion Vouvray; Nahe Riesling

Hahn Estates, Merlot, 2006 (Monterey, California) - I had a half a glass at this at a work social event.  Although a $10 sample I thought it was pretty good.  Lightweight body but decent flavor and actually some lasting tannins.  6 out of 10 for upper average.

Heron Wines, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2005 (American Canyon, California) - I had just a few sips of this at a work social event.  Quite simply a lightweight and weak cabernet sauvignon.  5 out of 10 for lower average.

McWilliams, Hanwood Estate, Shiraz, 2006 (South Eastern Australia) - I had just a few sips of this at a work social event.  Quite simply a lightweight and weak shiraza.  5 out of 10 for lower average.

Sauvion, Vouvray, 2006 (Loire, France) - I had just a few sips of this at a work social event.  Just a weak and unremarkable white.  5 out of 10 for lower average.

Nahe, Kreuznacher Kronenberg Riesling Spatlese, 2007 (Pradikatswein, Germany) - I had half a glass of this at a work social event.  I can tell the Riesling juice in it was unremarkable but since it's a sweeter style of Riesling I still quite enjoyed it and will score it a 6 out of 10 for upper average.
