Texture and Shapes 2006
Most of my early projects were in oil but this year I stared experimenting with acrylic which has lots of texture media and effects.  I'm hooked.
Bronchi Flesh Wounds
Bronchi, acrylic on board.  #289.  I started the year with experiments squirting acrylic out of syringes.  The camera has trouble focusing on these images so I had to zoom in.  Sorry you don't see the whole thing.  Available. Flesh Wounds, acrylic on hardboard.  #291.  Layers of color which were then gauged and sliced.  Were I to do it again I think I could get better colors out of it.  Available.
Veinwood
Wishing Well
Wishing Well, acrylic on board.  #305.  My first experiment with combing color through a self-leveling gel.  Camera had trouble focusing so I had to zoom in on just part of it.  Available.
Veinwood, acrylic on board.  #323.  Streams of gel and glue dried clear then glazed in colors, repeated in layers.  Available.
Extra Cheesey
Genesis
Extra Cheesey, acrylic on polyester, on a pizza box.  Experiment with cutting away parts of the polyester support.  Not available (it's in a charity auction right now).
Genesis, acrylic on board.  #338.  I had made acrylic tiles for a mosaic but didn't like it so I stacked them up and they stuck together.  This project was an attempt to reuse the fused tiles.  Available.
Water Ropes
Pile
Water Ropes, acrylic and thread on polyester.  Experiment with embedded thread and with cut away of the support.  Available.
Pile, acrylic on polyester.  #352.  Acrylic strands layered on gel and wood sticks.  Not available.  Given to a co-worker via a charity auction.
