Funky Stuff
As part of the learning process I'm always trying a new supply or technique.  Here is a small sample of experiments and how they were done.
Shattered (Project #360 2006) Thin clear polyester sheets painted then frozen in the freezer and the shattered, peeled, or cut and rearranged on a clear polyester sheet and cemented together with self leveling gel.
Veinwood (Project #323 2006).  Streams of PVA glue or liquid acrylics dried then glazed separately, built up in layers.
Burst My Bubble (Project #406 2007) Golden liquid media was mixed with transparent quinacridone colors then spread across bubble wrap and left to dry.  The smaller weave, which was more cohesive, was cut into shapes similar to organic molecules.
Hell Froze Over (Project #401 2007) This is crystal gel acrylic media on a clear polyester sheet.  It was then wet down and watercolors were dabbed in the pools so the pigment would settle between the crystal media.
Water's Edge (Project #416 2007) Colored tar gel and self leveling gel on opposite sides of a clear polyester sheet.
Eau de Marigold  (Project #414 2007)Colored paper overlapped then drizzled with colored tar gels then cut up and rearranged.
Saving My Bacon (Project #458 2007) I used self leveling gel on a crackle treated clear polyester sheet and I hated the outcome this time so I cut it up and flipped and rearranged the pieces.  AVAILABLE but small, about 9"x12".
Box of Tissue (Project #418 2007) High solids gel mixed with transparent quinacridone then extruded through a cake decorating knozzle.
