The VT6530 terminal emulator software, components, and source code will hereafter be referred to as "the software". Maximum Industries, John Garrison, and the Department of Revenue will hereafter be referred to as "the authors".

By using or downloading the software you must agree to the terms of this license. If you do not agree, the software must be deleted and not used. In ever-day American English the intent of this license is

1. To prevent the authors from being sued. This software is experimental and may be unstable, cause loss of work, cause damage to systems, or cause other damages. Users of the software take full responsibility for any damage or loss caused by, or related to, the software. The authors will not be held liable or responsible for any damages or loss from use of the software. There is no Warranty. There is no implied Warranty. The software may not be used in any application that supports human life such as space craft, submarines, aircraft, or medical equipment. The software is experimental and may not be used in mission critical applications.

2. To prevent the source code from being redistributed. The source code, including modified versions of the source code, may not be redistributed. Any modifications to the source code must be submitted to Maximum Industries for inclusion, at their sole discretion, into the official distribution.

3. To prevent the binaries, including modified binaries, from being redistributed. Maximum Industries is the only distributor for binaries.

4. The source code and binaries may be used for any purpose consistent with the other terms of this license.
