Ballyclare TFC this week received the welcome news, that during the month of February and into the middle of March 2004, member John Barrons will represent the club during a community project in Casablanca, Morocco, where he will be, amongst other things introducing the sport to young people.
It is also hoped that with visas assisting he may also be able to visit Nouakchott, in Mauritania over April.
Any donations of equipment wold be very welcome and anyone wishing to contribute items, no matter how little please contact John on the contact email provided.
Ballyclare TFC will be holding a auction in aid of the Morocco and Mauritania trip in McCleans Bar, on Saturday 31st January starting 9pm. Anyone wishing to contribute something to go under the hammer no mater what it is, please leave it behind the bar or contact John before 28th January 2004.
Newtownabbey Regional League
Players are reminded that the Co Antrim Regional League, will recommence for 2 sessions on Wed 21st and Wed 28th of January and will be held in Ballyeaston Rd, Ballyclare
This will be held the 4th Wed of each month thereafter.
It will mostly be held in Ballyclare Community Concerns, although other venues within the borough would also be welcome if offered, to spread the league around.
Ballyclare Mayfair National Open
Plans are in place to continue the success of this tournament held this year when won by Englands Algy Taylor.
