My Rocks, My Friends
Dan "Veto" Ahlgren
In short he is my best friend.  He is the guy that no matter how I feel, I walk away knowing the world is better than I though, that is something considering I already have a rosy point of view.  I met him during his pledgeship at Sigma Nu.  I gave him rides back to his dorm almost nightly.  He had a kind of pathetic beg that still gets me to do things for him.  Namely this is the way that he got me to drive him to so many rehersals and other stuff.  We became drinking buddies, but the comraderie goes well beyond a guy I know that will bail me out and take a shot with me.  He is a guy that I know I will do almost anything for, well short of illegal and immoral things, but I know he would never ask those of me.  After all in many ways I see him as on a higher moral road then I.  So he is sort of the guy I strive to be like in most of interactions with others.
Palak Pandya
She is one of my best female friends.  I met her near the beginning of my sophomore year when she came with Esther to visit Jeff.  I was the guy yelling out the window begging Jeff for the answers to our chemistry homework.  Later on Bill and I sprayed the two girls with my supersoaker and hit them with pillows and tried to get them on the page.  After that I really got to know her over the next year, especially on road hopping trips with Veto, Co and her.  We started dating in the summer of my senior year and still are dating despite the distance.  She is my blonde that brings a smile to my face no matter the circumstance.  She is by and far the person that I feel I can tell the most to; well except mushy romantic stuff.  Can't tell your girlfriend all your plans and secrets of that natur.
Todd Foose
He is the elder statesmen that I always felt comfortable with.  Hell if he was a politician he would be one I would actually believe could deliver on his campaign promises, and I am always skeptical of politicians!  He was a commander for a long time and I was his recorder-bitch.  I felt it was a fun time, just to sit close and listen to his wisdom.  I also see him as a great pal because despite not being from Pittsburgh, I have always had a soft spot for the teams from Steel town.  So I know that I can watch any sport with him and just get along fine.  Plus he is kind of a spiritual buoy in my life, he knows more on religion and has more challenges to his faith then I have, but still keeps it alive.
Tina Flispart
She is Little Sis.  She is the person that I feel like a mentor to, although at times I wonder why the hell she listens.  The advisor role is not a one way deal.  She is also my little assitant when it comes to springing romantic surprises and understanding the twists of the female mind.  After all sometimes a third party is just required to understand the situation.  Besides being Li'l Sis, we just connect on a level that just has outstandingly humorous consequences.  After all Tina's head and gimp's head are fucked up functions.  What goes in, comes out with funny alterations.  Plus she is a wonderful teacher, and sometimes an old dog still needs to learn some new tricks.
Jeffery Cowden
He is the politician that I understand and tolerate but not always believe.  I also know inherently that he has the best interest of the situation at heart.  He is as smooth an operator as I know.  Slick as oil, a trait I wouldn't mind picking up in small supply.  Also he is my fashion consultant when a woman cannot be found.  I don't quite have all the nuances down yet, but he has been excellent bridge to the liberal world.  Also he is the ultimate source of discussions.  I can talk anything with him: politics, religion, philosophy, economics, science, history, linguistics, etc.
Caroline Wadsworth
She is a friend.  One that for the first two years of my college career was nothing more than Mike's girlfriend.  In the last two years, we forged a friendship that seems to be the most like one between equals.  The other relationships have an aspect of being the relationship where I am the younger or older in the relationship.  With Co, I feel like we are the same age and are equal partners in crime.  So many of our activities involved consensus and agreement.  We were driver and co-pilot in roadhopping, the heads of the ethical highwaymen, and in general encouragers of childish behavior.  We skipped class to catalyze the building of the Chill Bar.
