The Long Day - Journey Home
A short bus ride saw us at the airport in Malaga.  We checked our luggage and got our tickets and the Pablo Picasso terminal.  We were originally supposed to get a later flight but we got bumped up since we were there.   So after a short flight we had plenty of time to spend in the airport in Madrid.  This was our last chance to goof off and have fun as a group as well as buy some last minute souveniers.  I seized that opportunity by buying an extremely large bar of chocolate.  It was at least fourteen inches long and five inches wide.  It was freaking huge!  We spent a few hours in that airport, I actually got to check my email for only like the third time during the two weeks.
We then had the long cross Atlantic flight to enjoy.  I ended up changing seats with someone so they could be with someone, which left me alone on the plane.  I am too nice to people at times, but I did meet a nice girl from Madrid.  We had a lovely conversation and she praised my Spanish on certain phrases.  We exchanged email addresses and later emails because she was a music student thinking about going to Indiana University.
Upon arriving in New York, I filled out a custom slip telling them about my tea that I was bringing into the country.  They stopped me and asked me about it.  When I put the slip in my mouth, they were very gruff about taking it out of my mouth.  It was kind of scary, but it passed quickly.  I then went to find my terminal in JFK for the return flight to Detroit.  I called my parents to let them know that I was in the country.  I hung out with several people while waiting for that flight including Ashley who I made the trek from Indianapolis with in the beginning.  We hung out and talked about our trip and we all flew to Detroit.  We then split up since they were flying into Fort Wayne while Ashley and I were going to Indianapolis.
I had made at this point the decision that I was going to stay up until I got to Greencastle.  In short  I would be up 25 straight hours in planes and terminals excluding the hour trip to Greencastle.  Well when I got on the plane in Detroit I heard the normal speil on safety and the next thing I remember is please put your seats and trays in the full and locked position because we are about to land in Indianapolis Airport.
I then said goodbye to Ashley and got in my taxi to pick up my car.  It was at a place that washes your car if you want as well as store it for long term parking.  I called Jeff when I got on the road to see if Marvin's was open so I could order food.  It was not so I drove back and arrived at Sigma Nu around 3am.  No one was awake and I was dead tired, so I went to bed.  I would proclaim all these stories to my friends when I awoke.  It was a wonderful trip that had only slight snags with every major form of transportation except boats.  Our poor luck in that department was joke ever since we left Cordoba, but if that is the only major problems we had, then we had a wonderfully successful trip!  And that is the only way to describe my trip to Spain and be accurate in the slightest!
