I have once had a memory clear. This had happened to more people. This may be caused by
The game was switched off while it was saving something into the SRAM, and it can no longer read from it.
Some weird thing happened that corrupted the SRAM.
An uneducated sibling was fiddling with your game and erased.
An uneducated friend with goon-like fingers was doing so.
You dropped your Game Pak and/or GBA with the Game Pak, and the shock did something to the data.
You have faulty SRAM or a rare twerk or whatever erased it.
You have a faulty battery inside that cartridge.
The answer is still unknown to me
