| Sunday July 9th 2006 My debt today: �3830.31 This is my first entry into this diary, i decided to build this site today as i want a place i can jot down my progress, my emotions and what im actually doing to get myself out of debt. Im being a really grump the last few days cos its all starting to stress me out. Like the fact i dont have enough money in the overdraft to cover my rent in 7 days time! The stupid council still havent processed my claim for housing benefit/council tax from May 4th! Its my mums birthday tomorrow and i cant afford to buy her a present! So im going to make her a card... and try and improvise on the present! I have no idea how! I have finally got the motivation to list some items on ebay... so im hoping they go for a reasonable price! Looking at what the items have gone for in the past im hoping for at least �20! Have got to go the bank tomorrow and bank my greasypalm cheque for �25.02, some cash that i was given by my uncle �20, a �5 note i had in my purse left over from last weeks shopping budget and �1 in 2p coins. That totals up to �51.02! :) OH has just brought me a pocket full of 1p and 2p coins that have just been sitting round his house.. (something about not liking brown money?!!) im gonna bag them up and see if i can get enough to take them the bank aswell! Every penny REALLY does count! Its 1 pence less debt.... 1 pence less overdrawn... 1 pence less to be charged interest on! |

| Sunday July 29th 2006 My debt today: Approx �5000 We have had nothing but bad luck.. yeah i found a job! yay! and yes pauls applied for his re-mortgage so we should be loads better off in 4 weeks..! BUT the van has broken down completely so weve had to buy a new car... on my credit card. Where meant to pick it up yesterday but literally 5 minutes before we walked into the dealership to collect it there was a problem with it and it wont start! So we cant get it now till monday.... which would be fine.. if we didnt need it yesterday to move!!! I start my new job monday.... and paul should be working again on tuesday if we can figure out a way to get the car when im stuck in work with the credit card! Between us we have about �7k of debt now as the car is costing (including insurance and everything) approx �2600!!! Good news is there SHOULD be a benefit cheque in the post to me for �454 arriving this week... and i made �13.55 on ebay over the weekend.. and i got paid my last JSA payment so theres another �91... Heres hoping this monday brings a new start and things looking up! We need a bit of luck. |
