| We all love surprises, don't we? We're all crafters? Hi SYLVIA!! Good at keeping secrets? Sounds like we already have a few things in common. . . Welcome to the 'Summer Secrets' Exchange!! To sign up, you will need to submit your details to a simple entry form. After the signup date has closed, I will assign you to your partners - one that you will be mailing to, another that will be mailing to you. . simple really!! This time we have decided it would be nice to include other crafts, so that we can share all of our creative tealents! After the exchange has begun, please try to talk with your partners on the exchange forum - just to let them know you are there. You will meet some interesting people, and hopefully make some great friends too!! Try to think of a fun name to hide your identity - you may need to use your own name at times also, when your secret stitcher wants to chat with YOU! The exchange will run from April 1st, and run through to June 31st. Your package MUST be mailed on or before the final date. During this exchange, you will send to your partner: 3 skeins of floss, in 'Summer' colours. AT LEAST ONE of these should be a speciality thread. A MINIMUM of ONE sitched ornament. Styles, and themes, are entirely your decision, guided by your partner's preferences. A post Card - this may or may not be stitched. And finally. . Something that represents Summer to YOU - This may be anything you wish to send - it may be something traditional to your family, or perhaps your nationality. Maybe something associated with Summer from childhood - just a big kid at heart? Maybe you love the sparkle of Christmas... Before signing up, there are a few simple rules you must agree to: 1) You MUST be able to commit your time to this project - if you cannot be sure you will have the time to stitch and shop for your partner, please do not sign up, as your partner would be let down. You would feel the same if it happened to you. 2) You MUST provide a valid email address - I wil be contacting you for verification before adding your name to the mailing list, and will need to contact you at various stages during the program. 3) If a problem arises, and for any reason you will be unable to complete your end of the exchange, you MUST let me know in plenty of time so that arrangements can be made. I am very understanding and sympathetic, and if there is a genuine reson that you are not able to keep up your end of the deal, this will not affect your chance of entering future exchanges - as long as you have let me know, and in plenty of time. 4) This list is not exclusive - if at a later date there are additions or changes to the rules, I will inform you. You should take note of any alteratuions. THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL - HAVE FUN!! FINALLY - If you break the rules agreed above, you WILL NOT be allowed to enter future exchanges. If there are special circumstances involved, and I am aware of this, that will of course be taken into consideration. Now that you have agreed to the rules, you are ready to sign up!! |
