Following the tragic events of September 11th, 2001, a group of cross stitchers decided to create a lasting tribute to the thousands that sadly lost their lives. We are creating Remembrance Quilts to honour the losses in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania The group's founder, Nancy, asked for donations of 8 by 8 inch stitched squares, on various themes - patriotic, memorial, anything that each stitcher felt was suitable. A beautiful collection of over 150 squares have been donated in the past 8 months - these can bee seen in the album These squares are now in the capable and talented hands of the quilters - you can follow their progress of in the "News" section, and photographs will be uploaded to the Quilters' Album wherever possible. |
