BACK IN BOLIVIA

Returning the same road you came never feels optimal. When we returned to Bolivia it was even worse. After approximately half an hour in Bolivia the driver realized that he had forgotten some important papers in the custom and turned around. Therefore, we got to see the giant Sajama Volcano three times (the 2nd time to the right).

Back in Oruro, we had some time to visit the main plaza again (see above) before going further south in Bolivia.

The road to Potos� was really poor, and we passed some really desolate villages (see right). After dark we arrived in Potos�, a town known for its mining and high altitude. The blankets in the hotel bed were sixfold.

The first day in Potos� we wandered about the streets and squares (see left) and visited some hot springs,  taking a bath with the local bugs. The next day we would have one of the most harrowing experiences in South America when visiting the horrible mines...
