The Manifold Adaptor

The manifold adaptor is a flat sheet of metal 1/2 inch thick. Holes were drilled on each corner to mount the adaptor to the intake manifold where the OEM carburator was bolted on.

Two holes measuring 40mm in diameter were bored into the adapter plate which correspond to the barrels of the Weber. These holes are aligned with the secondary barrels in the intake manifold. An additional 4 holes were drilled onto the plate to accommodate mounting studs which is used to secure the Weber.

I had the adapter custom made by a neighborhood machine shop which charged me Peso 1,800.00 for it (approx US$36).

Note: see the puddled fuel that the Solex 4A1 made. yuck!
