Rebuilding the Weber 40 DCNF

Weber Carb split open. On the Left is the top half with the brass float still attacked. Towards the middle are the idle/air adjustment screws, the auxiliary venturis, accelerator jet, and emulsion tube (main jet and air correction jet still attached)

Auxiliary Venturis, Idle Jets and Holders, Emulsion Tube holding main jets and air correction jets, accelerator pump jet, and idle air adjustment screws

Looking down the barrels of the Weber. Towards the top is the fuel bowl. 32mm venturis are still installed.
Rebuilding the Weber is pretty straightforward. Remove the screws on top of the float bowl cover and lift it off -- careful not to tear the paper gasket. The Main jet and Air Correction Jet is pushed into the Emulsion Tubes and are easily removed.

The idle jet holder is screwed on the side of the carb body itself, There is a small o-ring to prevent leaks. Idle Jets can be replaced by simply pulling it off and pushing it back in.

The accelerator pump jet is mounted between the two throttle bores. This can be unscrewed and removed for cleaning.

The auxiliary venturis simply lift right off. The main venturi are held in place by the auxiliry venturis and can be removed.

I used carb cleaner in a can and just sprayed away.
