Campbell Playhouse Synopses
This classic comedy series featured Eve Arden as Connie Brooks in program "Our Miss Brooks." The first show aired on CBS on July 19, 1948. Joe Forte played Osgood Conklin in the first two shows then Gale Gordon took over the Conklin role beginning with the August 2, 1948 program. Other regular cast members were Jeff Chandler as Philip Boynton, Dick Crenna as Walter Denton, Leonard Smith as Stretch Snodgrass, Jane Morgan as Mrs. Davis and Gloria McMillan as Harriet Conklin. Music was by Wilber Hatch and the Director was Larry Be. Bob Lamond was the Announcer. The show was successful up to its last show on July 7, 1957.
