Big news, we bought a camera at work so now you can count on reliable pictures on Mondays!  Woo Hoo!  (NOTE:  I haven't figured out how to make the links come up in pop-up windows, so right click and "Open in another window" so that you don't go crazy!)

Here are some to start you off.  I can't stop knitting for littles.  Here is
a hat and booties for my friend Jessica who gave birth to Sean Michael on Friday.  This is the second pair of baby socks from this ball and I can make at least two more pairs.  Start having babies people, these socks want to be made!

Th
e DNA scarf has not been touched much this week, but is coming along nicely.

I was feeling fuzzy last Sunday and figured my knitting should reflect it so onward and upward with the last piece of Alice's sweater!  (Sorry no pic yet.)

It turned cold here in Boston this week and poor Mike's ears were getting cold so Thursday afternoon I picked u
p this and Thursday evening he had this!

I'll leave you with a little more Mike, his sweater is all finished and blocked..
. go see!

Still no pictures!  I should be getting a camera at work soon, so hopefully there will be pictures reliably every Monday, until then you'll just have to take my word for how beautiful my current projects are!

The DNA scarf is coming along very nicely.  This is my first cabling experience, and I love it!  It's great to have such wonderful patterns emerge with only one color.  I'm starting the fourth repeat of the pattern, so I'm almost half way through!  Maybe this will really get done for Christmas.

I started the second sock to match t
he red and grey one that I've been working on.  I'm still having problems with the Opal socks though.  The first time that I started this yarn I was getting a beautiful <<<< pattern between heathered pink bands, now my middle pattern is not a pattern at all.  I understand that using different needle sizes and different numbers of stitches will result in different patterns, but why don't they give guidelines so that I can get the <<<s again!!!  The reason that I switched to the size 1 needles was that the pattern broke half way through... I'm thinking of trying the size 2s next.  I've already ripped once to get a good pattern, I'm not afraid to rip again.  I'm not going to settle for socks I'm not happy with.

So, I know you've all been waiting to see Cork Hybrid pictures... be assured that they are on the way, but I'm going to do some vicious blocking first to lengthen the sweater a bit.  Wish me luck and have a great week.

Back from vacation!  Florida was beautiful and warm and great!

Mike's sweater was done for his birthday and came out great.  It needs a bit of blocking to lengthen the body, but once that is done it will be perfect.  No pictures yet because I'm waiting for my photographer to bring in the camera but look for a "DONE" link up above soon.

Luckilly there were no airport related hassles with the knitting.  I got a lot done, started and finished a baby hat on the plane out.  I also started the DNA scarf and a sock with the Opal yarn.  I finally got the US 1 dpns for it and I splurged on the Britney Birch needles.  Maybe I'm just not used to them, but I'm not happy with them at all.  I find them very slow and it seems to take much more effort.  I definitely prefer aluminum needles.  Anyone want to trade?
