A Santa Claus is facing the sack from a Dutch shopping centre after he smacked a young boy for pulling his beard. Peter Hendriks hit the boy on the backside in front of dozens of shoppers in the town of Rijswijk. Defending his actions, he said: "If I hadn't done that, he would have pulled off my beard and dozens of children would have been traumatised." - £4m blank paper sting A Dubai police officer trapped a gang of criminals by offering to pay £4 million for 22 million blank pieces of paper. The gang had claimed that the paper, cut in the shape of $100 bills, would turn into real money when dipped in a chemical solution. The sting operation was carried out in the suburb of Naif after officers received a tip off that the group had arrived in the city in search of a buyer for the paper, reports 7days. The website said officers closed in as soon as the exchange took place and arrested members of the gang. A search of their hotel room revealed a large bag of genuine dollar bills. 09/09/2005 - Check out my photography and art work. Youu can reach it from the menu on the left. He's selling ad space on the site, nothing new there. However, he's selling it off in 10x10 pixel blocks. 08/09/2005 - Been some time since i updated this news ssection and some other parts of this great site. Just been trying to settle down after moving into my new house in Nottingham and been generally busy. Its been exciting seeing new places and getting to know new places in nottingham city. One palce i would love to go is Sherwood Forest and see the legendary Oak tree Robin Hood supposedly used as a hideout. - While surfing the net as you do,lol i found this site: www.ssiworld.com that produces industrial shredders. They provide video clips showing the machines in action as they can destroy things like cars and refrigerators to truck tires and steel drums to diapers and CD's. Fun stuff. 29/07/2005 - All four suspects of the failed London bomb attacks of 21/7/2005 have been captured. Kudos to the police force and special police unit. Was great and a relief to find out that news and how intelligence also lead to thier capture. The Great britain public have been fantastic in helping with facial identification and also clues as to where they may be. Hope this sparks a new era in the combat of these terrorist cells. - David blaine may be facing some competitioon from this asian magician and his hand full of tricks. One of my favourites is this Hamburger trick. Its so amazing still got my theories on how he did it seeing im into some magic of my own, it comes with its benefits, the free food and Ladies. Windows Vista. Click here to see the launch. (Requires Windows media player). Yes i know how odd. What is that supposed to mean was my first reaction. Windows XP is a funky name i though. Its codename 'Longhorn' seems suitable, probably its because we have heard it so manytimes in the press and other websites or from word of mouth. Although Steven Bink along with numerous other Windows enthusiast site admins have suggested we nickname Vista "WinVi". "Vi is the first two letters of Vista, and Windows Vista is Windows NT 6.0. In Roman Numerals VI is the number six." ActiveWin is reporting that the official tagline for WinVi is "Clear, Confident, Connected: Bringing clarity to your world." One of my theories is it was named so because the problem is that dates show their age. So to move with the times and for future views they had to name it Windows Vista. Doing more research i noticed that Vista means "view" in portuguese. In English it means distant view or prospect, so it is in-line with Microsoft's focus on pushing the imagination and reaching further. (sarcasm ?) It is derived from the Latin word "vedere". I thought Windows ME was a joke but Windows Vista sounds silly, either way they probably done the copyright deals by now and cant be bothered to change it. What ever way you look at it, the Name is Vista, Windows "La" Vista baby. Update: Microsoft has just posted their 6AM PST Press Release confirming that Windows: Codename Longhorn will be called Windows Vista. Microsoft has also launched their official "Windows Vista" web page. Announced on the page: "Beta 1, targeted at developers and IT professionals, will be available by August 3rd 2005". What do you think ??: Got any kool names list them in the shoutbox on the left or in the forum. - Minor adjustment made to the look of the wwebsite. Thanks for all those checking it out, especially the Unilist. Let me know your thoughts on it and ideas. Its yet another kool and fairly sunny day here in this part of London. Hope it lasts. In other parts of the world there are typhoon reports and storms in areas like taipei, carribean, Cuba, Gulf of Mexico and florida. Hope everyone in those areas is ok and if you got any pics of those send them in. 22/07/2005 - Officers hope the CCTV footage will help tthem trace the four people they say tried to set off devices on Thursday at Oval, Warren Street, Shepherd's Bush stations and on a bus in Shoreditch in east London.Link Here. What a state of alert in London Town, people cautious of getting onto public transport. Its so worrying now its unlikely anyone will comfortably go to work or stay there for any length of time. Children schooling in London are also making thier parents anxious and worry contiually as you never know what will happen next. I pray for better days. 21/07/2005 - Not again!! How cowardly these terrorists are. London faced another bombing today. Which from the news/media were less powerful, therefore not causing as much damage as 7/07/2005 Its quite dissapointing tho. The news is already full of the reports from 2 weeks ago now its gonna continue. What do you think about the bombings in London? 11/07/2005 - Well done London for wining the Bid for thhe 2012 olympic games. It means some lucky babies born around this time get to participate in the olympics come 2012 organisers say. I was so excited to hear that the olympic games are going to be held in the UK, hopefully ill get to see at least a tornament. More sports facilities for the local comunities involved in the event and the millenium dome gets to be used ONCE more. 07/07/2005 - There were a number of explosionns in the london underground, and a double decker bus was blown appart. It has come to be know that these were terrorist attacks. There was initially no emergency vehicles as it was first rumoured to be a power surge but now there are numerous ambulances at the various scenes. Reports of many wounded and two deaths so far from the BBC. My thoughts go out to all involved. This can't go on! During the blitz in london (September 7, 1940 - May 11, 1941) Air raids took place almost every night and a large number of German bombers dropped hundreds of tons of bombs on the capital. Typically there were 100 to 200 bombers dropping around 200 tons of high explosive and 300 incendiaries although there were raids with 300 and 400 planes with more than double the amount of bombs dropped. We are BRITISH and united we stand!! To all those terrorists out there... give up ur waisting your time! 29/06/2005 - 22 year old Media studies studennt gets a degree in 'Chav' - Ology!! Verity Jennings, student at Leeds Metroplitan University wrote her thesis entitled 'Chav, sub-culture or chavaphobia? An empirical and theoretical exploration of chav'.. Must have been quite entertaining researching chav's, at least probably kept her out of the library most of the time. Her research also examined the 'chav-istocracy' that includes Danniella Westbrook and Victoria Beckham. She said, " I desided on the topic because it was the buzz word of the moment. " fair enough. She gained a 2.1 in her course. Lucky Verity. - You got to feel for this Russiann dude, hee’s having a bit of a hard time being famous. I like to call him the 'Worlds most Unlucky Pop star'. Do
you know whats
amazing, Mum's are against so many things and they have the right
too. So many slogans
have now come into
play, E.g. Mothers
against guns, Mothers
against drink driving, Mothers
Against Videogame
Violence and Addiction. Women
are taking
matters into
thier hands and making thier voices
heard, it seems one effective way or should i say the only
way serious issues gets heard or implemented by the Government.
Although its all for a good cause and
some of which are charity based, funny names
arise. E.G. MAVIA
(sounds like mafia), MAPSU
(Mother's against peeing
standing up) (check out the
F.A.Q's section on
this website) i'm serious!!!

23/06/2005 - " A flaw in several of Adobe Systems' popular graphics design applications could expose users to hacker attacks, the software maker has warned. " Its seems the software giant Adobe have been experiencing flaws in popular products as Adobe Photoshop CS, Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 amongst others. These products may be an unlikely way hackers gain access to out private informations. The software company released this information to the public and have also gone the extra mile to produce an update that fixes this flaw. However, Adobe Photoshop CS2 does not have this flaw. For more info visit ZDNet. Download the patch from here. 21/06/2005 - This year seems to be going nearrly as quiick as 2004 :(, Uni term has finished and a new year is soon on its way. Is it just me or is it REALLY humid all of a sudden, brilliant weather and good time to get the perfect tan, 4get about the sun beds and the occasional fake tan. :) But do you know that the craze for tanning has got some ppl obsessed with it even at a young age. My new word of the day is ' TANOREXIC ' Skin cancer alert!!! Check out this link from the BBC. 18/06/2005 - Being taking more pictures, the latest ones was at the Motorexpo 2005 car show at Canarywharf which lasted from the 13th - 19th June 2005. It was an awesome occasion showcasing over 220 of the latest cars and bikes. I noticed that taking pictures of cars can be interesting but the same 3/4 view is always taken by most photographers so i tried different views to see if they can be used in anyway in the future. Some came out fine so that was great. The F1 (Formula 1) stand was quite entertaining as the there were virtual racing cars. 4 contestants at a time i think.
