| I really like Yi Ping's pride and Shu Huan's sense of rightteousness. I feel very deeply for their strong love and the torture each inflict on the other. what is most special is this novel is that the barrier standing in between their love lies within the diffrence in each other's character, instead of the usual disapproval from the parents or a rigid society. However, the character, Ru Ping is the worst character i've ever written. I would have always thought, if i was given another chance to write this story again i would rewrite the stroy , I would never let Ru Ping kill herself. Rather then that i would give her another new life. Besides, I also don't like the ending of the novel, hence resulting in the birth of <<Qing Shen Shen Yu Meng meng>>. Before rewritting the script for this newer version, i've already made up my mind. In this show, I can only retain the original family background and part of the story. As for the rest, I would definitely create a new and different plot developement. hence, new characters appeared, such as Du Fei (alec). |
| Other changes included the lightening of the sad atmosphere in the original novel. Making it more mild, as well as adjustments in the charaater type of Yi Ping and Shu Huan to become more realistic and more involved in daily life. This is a love story, extremely complicated, detailed, passionate and memorable. Of course, the show also contains the story of er Hao and Fang Yu, as well as Keyun......the setting has also been shifted to 1936. Hence, the show not only tells the touching love story of a group of young people, the the people's deep love for their country. this is a story of a group of youngsters admist a period of unrest and great changes. hence, the title <<Qing She Shen Yu Meng Meng>>. it has more then one meaning. love-here not only purely refers to romance, whilst rain not only means literally rain. Besides love, I have also written about the friendship among 7 young people; their vibrant youth and kind nature enabled hatred and unhappiness to be changed into unity and warmth. they would go on outings and have fun together, laugh in the wind , in the cluds and under the sunshine. Yes, laughter!! This is one main reason for writting the novel. my old self in the past who was only had sadness in my mind has softened, disliking shows that only contains sadness. The biggest change is that besides tears, there is now laughter. (Qion Yao) |
