Shaolin Soccer is a great success in Hong Kong's film making industry. Until July 29th, it has a total gross of $47,700,000, which tops HK box-office throughout 2001. Star Stephen Chow never expected this big suprise to happen. When they went onto Hk's show <<Who wants to be a millionaire>> and answered questions on <<Shaoling soccerr>> to raise money for charity, other then the great news of Stephen Chow winning one million HK dollars for their charity but also got the good news that <<Shaolin Soccer>> has beaten all HK movies in the box-offices ever shown before!!! Of course they were extremely happy and all went crazy. I remember that there was a question on Vicki and where she was born. They actually didn't know that question and had to ask someone else. What a waste of a life line. Should have phoned me i would have known. I was shouting the answer to them through the Tv i was so desperate to be there in the audience. Anyway back to the film. Every audience has seen how serious Stephen is in the film. Although the plot isn't a wonderful one, the film is still entertaining. I have personally asked quite a few people around and all have either seen it once at least. I have seen it twice in my two months stay in Hk but it was only on when i was about to leave so didn't get ime to go and see it again. Everyone is entertained by the great performance given by the actors and actresses especiall Vicki. When i went to see it and everyone saw Vicki first appear everyone wispered 'look there zhao wei!' But as everyone said it it didn't sound like a whisper:-) Also the special effects kept everyone thinking of how they were done so good. This film has taken a few years to make just because of the special effects done on computer. Shaolin and soccer have never been put together in a film in this way before and has made a big explosion in the Hk film industry. I am so happy that Vicki was part of it. Although she wasn't dressed very nicely and looked  her best all the way through the film but her acting is getting better and better.
