After my first year decied to leave Adamson and take Cobol and DBase Programming at I/Act which led me to a programming job at SGV, after doing that decided to finish my collge at AMACC Makati Major BS Computer Science. During at this time I moved out of my parents house and stayed in Makati for 7 years then to San Juan for 5 years. After College worked for Informatics, An animation studio, A technical support group, A Y2K conversion program and eventually a freelance computer instructor and a web designer. After my Computer programming days, I decided that a career in Foodservice would be ok. Since I love to eat and cook I wanted to formalize my skills. I took a Comprehensive Cooking Program. This was offered by Gallery of Culinary Arts (GCA), Owned by Gene Gonzales. And we were the pioneer batch. With Instructors like Jill Sandique, Heny Sison. We learned the basic skills, knife skills, French and International cooking, baking, wine tasting. At the end I was awarded a Silver Spoon Medalist for Food planning, Menu de Gustacion, Food Basket and Final Presentation. We'll I guess I leaned a lot because after this course it led me an apprenticeship to Cafe Ysabel later on to be a Food Researcher and eventually a co-host of the Heny Sison Cooking show. I'm back now in the suburbs of Paranaque and has plans of putting up a Restaurant (a cafe), a cooking school. (or all of the above). |
