Chapter 15

“Hello,” Melissa said answering her cell phone. They had finally arrived in San Antonio, and were all now sitting in the common room of the large suite shared by Justin and Chris.

The response on the other end of the phone was really a more of a shriek. “What the fuck?”

“Well, it’s nice to talk to you too, Brandi,” she smiled as the others continued their conversations.

“What the fuck?”

“Yes, I believe we’ve covered that. What do you need?”

“I need to know what these pictures are all about. I was online earlier and Kristen sent me this link,” Brandi exploded.

“Ok, you’re gonna hafta help me out, hun. I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about,” Melissa said laughing. In fact, she had a pretty good idea of the reason for Brandi’s call. As Justin had predicted, there were already pictures of she and the guys. Brandi probably wanted an explanation for what was going on between she and Joey.

“Pictures of YOU, dancing with…Are you fucking Justin Timberlake?” she accused irritably.

Melissa was shocked, but even more amused. “No,” she said through her laughter, drawing the attention of the others. “I am NOT fucking Justin Timberlake.”

At that, everyone broke into laughter. “Damn right, I think I would remember,” Justin said, laughing as Melissa rose from the couch to go into the other room.

“Well, explain this to me then. First you tell me that you’re with Justin Timberlake. Ofcourse, I think you’re full of shit, or just being a smartass. Because, well who the hell would believe something like that. And because let’s face it, you’re a smartass. But then here I was talkin to Kristen and she said, ‘Hey Brandi. Maybe I’m crazy, but I think this picture is of Melissa.’ So she sends me the link. Sure enough, it’s you, bumpin and grindin against Justin fucking Timberlake. And the caption…well let me just read it to you. Britney who? Looks like the rumors may be true. Justin seems to have traded in Britney for a new woman. Not only have they been seen dancing together, but also having breakfast in the restaurant of the Hyatt Regency. What happened in between we can only guess. And let me tell you, the two of you look pretty damn chummy. It’s hard to tell where you end and where he begins. And then you had breakfast with him. And I know damn well you didn’t sleep here. And you wanna tell me nothin is goin on? That you’re NOT getting it on with Justin Timberlake?”

Melissa sat for a moment unsure Brandi was through chattering. “You done?” When she heard only a sigh on the other end, she continued. “I told you this morning that Justin was the one you heard talking. Yes, I went to Dallas with the guys. Yes, I saw an NSYNC concert. They kick ass by the way.”

“Bitch,” Brandi cursed under her breath. She’d wanted to see them in concert for as long as she could remember.

Melissa laughed and continued. “We then went dancing. Apparently, we weren’t alone, and I’m sure other pictures will surface. And yes, Cassie and I had breakfast with the guys. But NO, I am NOT fucking Timberlake.”

“OK, so you stayed all night with him, but you didn’t screw him? What the hell is wrong with you?”

Melissa couldn’t help but to laugh aloud. “Well, it’s not exactly like that, Brandi. I didn’t stay the night with Justin.”

“OK, so you’re tellin me you didn’t stay the night with Justin Timberlake and you’re not fuckin Justin Timberlake. But I know something is goin on. I knew it this morning when I talked to you. So what the fuck? Are you sure you’re not fucking him?”

“Brandi Lynn! For the LAST time I am NOT fucking Justin fucking Timberlake,” Melissa insisted through her teeth before continuing. “I’m fucking Joey Fatone.”

There was a long silence and Melissa thought for a moment that the phone had disconnected. “OH MY GOD!” Brandi shouted so loudly that Melissa had to take the phone away from her ear. Melissa could actually hear her smile as she continued, “You groupie slut!”

“Hey,” Melissa countered, smiling back. “I’m not…ok, well maybe I am, but to be honest, I just don’t care.”

“So…”

“So what?” Melissa teased. She knew exactly what Brandi wanted. She was after details.

“Well…how was it?” Brandi inquired.

“It was…well, it was amazing Brandi. He’s just…Oh god, I don’t even know how to explain it.”

Brandi and Melissa had always been very open with each other and this conversation would not be an exception. “So…is he as big as we’ve all heard he is?” Brandi queried with a giggle.

“As you’ve heard…” Melissa repeated before shrugging it off. “Well, I don’t know how big you’ve heard he is, but…yeah. But don’t you go repeating that to all of your internet buddies. That’s the last thing he needs. It’s almost better if people continue to think I’m with Justin. Of course, it might really piss Britney off. But eh, they can deal with that. Justin doesn’t have a baby to consider.” She hadn’t given too much thought to the press and how they would react before that moment. She knew that his public persona was under constant scrutiny. What many people didn’t think about though, was how his loved ones reacted to it. She pushed the thoughts away, sighing happily as she mentally recounted the past two days. “Girl, being with Joey is mind-blowing. He’s so attentive. And I don’t just mean the sex, though I have NO complaints there. He’s so kind and he’s funny, and he listens to me.”

“Uhoh,” Brandi interrupted.

“What?”

“You like him. I don’t just mean you like to screw either. You like him.”

“Well, yeah, it’s kinda complicated. I DO like him. In fact, against my better judgement, I think I’m falling in love with him, Brandi. And I’ve been telling myself it’s not possible. I know we can’t have a relationship, but I can’ t help it, and…Well, I won’t go into it any further, cuz I’m so not in the mood to cry again.”

“Oh hun, I’m sorry. Are you ok?”

“I am,” Melissa confirmed. “It just kinda blindsided me. But ya know, I’m just gonna deal with it. I’m gonna enjoy the time I have left with him and then go on with my life.”

“Yeah, I guess that’s the best thing to do. Do you think he feels the same?” Brandi asked, the concern clear in her voice.

“I don’t know. I think he feels something, but at the same time I can’t help but to think I’m just another of his girls…Anyway, what are you doing?”

“Besides sittin here being jealous as hell of you…nuthin. I can’t believe that YOU got to go to a concert. You KNOW how long I’ve wanted to go,” Brandi replied with a chuckle.

“Well, hold on,” she said as she palmed the phone. “Oh boys,” she said in her sweetest voice as she walked back into the room, sitting down beside Joey. “Do you think I could use my newfound influence to get a ticket for the show for Brandi?”

“Brandi?” Justin screamed. “You mean your sister? Lemme talk to her,” he insisted as he jumped up and grabbed Melissa’s cell phone in one fluid motion.

“Dammit, Justin,” she began to complain before he put his finger against his lips.

“Hey babygirl. How u doin?” he asked smoothly.

“That’s my line,” Joey muttered under his breath, receiving an elbow to the ribs from Melissa. She smiled at him, shaking her head. Why did she have to smile at him like that and turn his feelings upside down?

“Hey,” Brandi said quietly on the other end of the phone. “Uhmm who’s this?”

“Who do ya think?”

Brandi tried to keep her composure but could hear her voice shaking a bit as she answered. “Justin?”

“You got it darlin,” he cooed. They spoke for a few moments longer before Justin handed the phone back to Melissa. “Here ya go.”

“Thanks Justin,” she said sarcastically before turning her attention back to Brandi.

“Bitch,” Brandi said flatly as she heard her sisters voice. “You coulda warned me.”

“Yeah, well he didn’t actually give me much of a chance. Anyway, Chris says they can get you in, no problem.”

“Yeah, Justin…oh my God, I can’t fucking believe I just talked to JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE!” Brandi rambled. “OK, gotta breathe. Yeah, Justin said I could get in. I just gotta get down there in the next, oh five hours. And I don’t know how I’m gonna afford this. Oh well, I guess that I can just drive ‘the beast’ for a little while longer. Man, I gotta find something to wear. Then I gotta call and get a flight. Then…shit, I have NO time here.”

Melissa couldn’t hold back her laughter as Brandi stressed. “Don’t worry hun. I’m sure you can find a flight. And just grab that outfit out of my closet. The one you ALWAYS want to borrow. In fact, can you grab me something else too?”

“Yeah Lyss. Ok, I gotta go. I see a flight that leaves in an hour. Justin told me where y’all are. So I’ll see ya in a couple of hours. Bye!”

Melissa hung up, laughing at Brandi again. “What did you say to her, Timberlake?” she asked.

“What? Nuthin. Swear to God! I didn’t say a thing,” Justin said laughing.

She only laughed, rolling her eyes. She told them about the pictures circulating and no one seemed surprised. This was something else she wasn’t sure she could ever grow accustomed to; the press. It was amazing to her that even in the moments that she took for granted were looked upon as photo opportunities. They couldn’t just go out dancing, or to the grocery store, or really even just on the streets without people turning to notice them, or stopping them.

“Yeah,” Justin said while discussing their ever-present shadows. “It’s usually not too bad. When it’s fans, especially. I mean hell, they just wanna meet us or see us, and they’re why we are where we are, but the damn paparazzi, that’s another story. They never give up. Sneaky bastards, too.”

They all chatted for about an hour before separating to get ready to head to the arena. Melissa and Joey went back to their suite. It was smaller than the one they had shared the previous evening, but it was just as elegant as the other room. The two of them sat on the couch in silence for several moments, wrapped in each other’s arms. They both knew that tonight would be the last night they would see one another for some time-maybe ever.

Melissa wanted to cry and found it difficult to hold back the tears. She wouldn’t mar their last moments together with an emotional breakdown, though. She’d known from the beginning this would happen, but she couldn’t help but to feel saddened by their imminent separation. Instead of crying though, she simply chose to relish these moments that they could share. She looked up at Joey who seemed a little distressed also. Smiling at him, she leaned in, kissing him slowly, softly.

The kiss was sensuous and gentle but eager and passionate at the same time. Their tongues dueled, neither expecting to win, but only to continue in battle. Hands roamed over faces and bodies with no urgency, only a need to feel, to touch, never to let go. Both Joey and Melissa felt the need building. They knew they didn’t have time for this, but neither could force themselves to stop. They only wanted to keep touching, keep kissing, keep holding each other as they did now. As Joey’s hands ran under Melissa’s sweatshirt, she moaned against his mouth. Every time he touched her, she caught fire. She kissed him harder, her hands tangling in the hair at the nape of his neck. She had to feel him closer, deeper, now.

Joey growled as Melissa stroked his neck. God he wanted her. His hands instinctively roamed across her body. They quickly found her breasts as he moved the material of her bra above her sensitive skin. Still kissing Melissa deeply, he rubbed his thumbs over the sensitive buds her nipples had become under his command. He grew rigid as she moaned against his mouth. Still caressing her right breast, Joey’s other hand traveled beneath the waistband of her pants. He felt how wet she was, how she had blossomed for him and he wanted her more than ever. Still kissing her longingly, he stroked her there, making her writhe against his hand as she moaned into his mouth. As he felt how wet and ready she was, he instantly grew even harder. All he wanted to do was forget about the show, forget about the fact they would be apart, forget about everything and lose himself in her. He wanted to worship her body and soul as the Goddess he saw her to be. What he really wanted was to make her happy, and to make himself happy in the process. Still stroking her sensitive clit, he placed two fingers inside of her warm pussy, and began to pump in and out of her wetness.

Even Melissa was a little surprised at how quickly her body had responded to him. There was no question of her desire for him, but logically she should be ready for a break. They’d been together four times since last night and her body should be sore. She found the opposite to be true, though. Every time they touched, she only wanted him more. Melissa’s hips moved of their own accord, rising to her lover’s touch. As Joey continued to stroke Melissa, pumping in and out of her, she grew more excited until she knew her release was near. “Joey,” she whispered breathlessly.

“Let it happen babygirl,” he moaned into her ear. He knew their time was running short and he wanted to give her the relief she needed. “You feel so good. Cum for me baby,” he whispered huskily before bending to her neck.

Joey’s mouth clamped onto Melissa’s neck and it was all she could take. He sucked hungrily at her sensitive skin and she exploded, coating Joey’s fingers as she moaned his name loudly. She collapsed against him, breathing hard.

Torturously, Joey removed his fingers, lightly brushing Melissa’s still swollen clit. “Shit,” she whispered bringing a smile to his lips. He knew that he had full sway of her desire and this brought a painful longing to his groin. Melissa lay against Joey, feeling satisfied but wanting more. She yearned to feel him deep within her. She needed it. She reached back up to his mouth and continued kissing him, willing time to stop.

Neither knew how long they had been entangled, but suddenly they were interrupted by a knock on the door. It was time to go. The kiss ended and they just sat, breathing heavily for a few moments looking into each other’s eyes. The desire was clear in each face. Who were they fooling? “Just a second,” Joey shouted at the door as Chris pounded again. “Well,” Joey sighed, smiling sadly, “I guess it’s time to go.”

Melissa nodded as they got up. “God, he has timing. I’m so turned on I can’t see straight.”

Joey held Melissa closely, grinding against her. “Tell me about it.”

“Mmmm,” Melissa moaned. “Do we have to go? Can’t they just say you couldn’t make it because you’re too busy havin wild monkey sex?” she questioned, smiling.

Joey threw his head back and laughed aloud. “Somehow I don’t think that would sit too well, angel.”

Melissa playfully curled out her bottom lip, kicking the floor. “Fine! Buncha spoiled brats,” she said, looking up through her lashes.

“You’d better behave or you might get a spankin,” Joey teased.

“I might like it,” Melissa laughed before raising an eyebrow.

Joey could only laugh, shaking his head. “Well, we’d better get goin. Chris is about to have a coronary out there. And if your sister’s plane is on time, she should be getting to the arena pretty soon. Besides the sooner we get there, the sooner we get done. And the sooner we get done, the sooner we get back here, and…”

“Have wild monkey sex,” Melissa said smiling suggestively.

“Baby, you can call it whatever you want as long as it includes you and me and minimal clothing.”

Melissa smiled at his comment. One thing stuck in her mind, though. The sooner they left, the sooner they would get back. Then tonight would turn into tomorrow. And after tomorrow, she would probably never see him again.
