Airport Road

At an undisclosed location on Airport Road is by far the most unusual location we've ever encountered to date. An abandoned farm house, which is cool enough by itself, was also the scene of an extremely odd murder of a woman. No joke.

In the summer of 2000, a man picking wild berries near the Chehalis River smelled a horrific stench. It was originating from within a nearby abandoned farm house. He ventured inside the house and into the basement, where he discovered the decomposing corpse of a women in her early 20's. The sight must have been quite grisly. As we have learned from the police, she was naked, and shot in the head several times. The amount of blood and brain matter sprayed on the walls must have given the man nightmares for some time.

As the local Lewis County Sheriff's Office investigated, the truly odd tale began to take shape. The victim had been with two local men the days before. At some point, she was handcuffed naked to their bed in their downtown Centralia residence. She gave the men consentual sexual acts, which included several threesomes, and eventually led to her going on a drive in thier pickup truck. She sat in the middle of the cab, naked, for a several hour joy ride of the local countryside. At some point, the men drove to the abandoned farm house and they got out. She was led into the basement to the bathroom. There was some arguement about whether she would give them blowjobs. One man left at this time to go outside, the other, apparently mad because of the refusal, pulled out a pistol and shot her several times in the head. Then the two men fled, not only Centralia, but the state of Washington.

They were rather quickly tracked to California, where they were apprehended and charged in court. Our conservative prosecutor described the crime as "the most bizairre" he had seen in his career. That is where we come in at, we read about the house in the local newspaper and go check it out. However, the basement shower, where the murder took place, is nowhere to be found. The Sheriff ripped out the walls and flooring. Other than some sewer pipes sticking out of the concrete floor, the bathroom ceases to exist.

At the end of a long gravel driveway is this abandoned farmhouse. Originally seized by the US Marshals in a drug raid, it has sat abandoned.
Before we can document the house on camera, we must first secure the residence by performing a room by room search. Operatives systematically clear the rooms using two way radios to coordinate movements.
It was in the basement shower of this house where an episode of kinky sex went too far. (This is actually the upstairs bath, the basement bath was destroyed.)
The house is quite large, with two floors and a basement. It was up for sale prior to the murders, now it is unlikely anyone will ever buy it. Here is the attic.
Long live the Summer of 2001 - Truly the End of an Era. The last mission as a team.
