McFadden Park

Chehalis has an overabundance of abandoned city parks for some reason. McFadden is on the tallest hill of Chehalis. From the park, you can see south into Chehalis, West to I-5, or North to Centralia. It is unknown how long the park has been closed, or why it was shut down. But it now holds two active radio towers. One of which controls train dispach for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

	This isn't what you'd expect to find in a city park, but McFadden Park isn't your ordinary city park...
Pleasant warning sign, which also suggests that there is a phone inside the tower building. This tower also has a University of Washington seismograph station at it.
	This shows some abandoned playground toys in the foreground of a massive radio tower. Interesting juxtaposition.
This large plaque was dated 1950 and dedicates the park to McFadden, a pioneer of Chehalis and a judge in an early court. Obviously no one cares too much about him now...
