Logan Elementary School

Logan School is currently used as a storage facility by the Centralia School District. It previously had been a full time operating school, but due to lack of enrollment, it was shut down sometime in the late '80s or early '90s. On Friday the 13th, the Nite Crawlers entered this dark structure, mag-lites in hand, as we took advantage of our exclusive access courtesy of school district personnel.

Exterior shot of Logan School showing the front doors. (File Photo.)
Sign found just within the front doors: Logan School has asbestos in the ceiling tiles, pipes, and floor tiles. But don't worry, it is being "managed in accordance with the EPA."
Need proof of asbestos, now you have it. (These photos were taken wearing protective equipment.)
Logan only has 6 classrooms, and one small hallway that runs the length of the school. It is shown cluttered with stored school supplies.
The school is too small to have a gym, but it does have an auditorium which is filled with all kinds of school surplus. Within camera range include file cabinets and computer desks. Out of camera range includes anything from a riding lawnmower to old refrigerators.
The school is filled with old computers. Every nook and cranny is filled with them. Mostly they are Apple ][s or Macintoshes with some vintage IBM compatibles.
This is the time clock for teachers in the remains of the faculty room. This clock does not keep time, although the entire school still has power.
