Dams
Skookumchuck River Dam is located to the North of Centralia near the communities of Bucoda and Tenino in neighboring Thurston County.
This was our first operation of the summer of 2000. It was planned to coincide with the same day that new Canadian management was to take over the facility. That way, the facility would be in chaos when we walked in. But for the sake of the TransAlta Corporation, we do not wish to disclose too many details about our actual infiltration.
![]() | The main gate at the end of the county road is well marked with reflectors and harsh warning signs promising prosecution to trespassers. |
| The dam is claimed to be patroled by this private security firm. However, judging by the condition of this sign, this firm was probably fired several managements ago. | ![]() |
![]() | There are several structures at the base of the dam. Most of them look to be modular trailer offices. No doubt they have to do with controlling the salmon runs around the dam. |
