Camp Alexander aka Alexander Park

Alexander Park was created in the 1920's by the city of Chehalis as a park on the shores of the Chehalis River. It was later given to the Boy Scouts of America as a summer camp for little children. However, in typical Boy Scout fashion, the camp fell into disrepair and it now sits abandoned at the end of a dead end road. It appears to be now under the juristiction of the City of Chehalis Parks and Recreation.

One rainy Saturday afternoon, a few of the Nite Crawlers, who were already in the area for another deployment, stopped by to take some pictures for a recon assignment.

4.1.04 UPDATE: Plans are in the works for Alexander Park to be reopened to the public in the near future. Current structures will be demolished. How sad...

Bathrooms, OfficeThis appears to be the main building of the site. It has bathrooms and what appears to have been an office for the Boy Scouts Pacific Harbors Council. It is very well boarded up.
This is Kitchen A, and it appears to be in the best shape of all the structures at the site.Kitchen A
Playground ToysAbandoned swings, slides, and other other playground toys sit rusting in the tall grass.
Bob Dole attempts a door on the main bathrooms with little success. When he pulled, the whole wall pulled outward.Locked Door
Kitchen BThis is Kitchen B. Note how the wall is falling off the building.
This is the interior of Kitchen B, which contains lots of dirt and a dead mouse. It shows signs of people having sex. One such person came all the way from Missouri for a good time.Interior
