Ranger Indoctrination Program (RIP)

The Selection Process
The 75th Ranger Regiment Ranger Indoctrination Program (RIP) continues in that high standards are still maintained and required of all who apply for acceptance into the Regiment. Those who are accepted must maintain those high standards.
The Ranger Indoctrination Program is designed to ensure that those candidates seeking assignment are a good fit for service in the 75th Ranger Regiment. The procedure used to select candidates for assignment: instruction, evaluation and observation. By the time the course is completed, the Ranger NCOs who supervise and evaluate the candidates will have assessed each individual to ensure that the proper physical and mental qualities; ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks, proper attention to detail, fitness, personal behavior, teamwork and other qualities expected of every Ranger are present in each graduate. Only then will an assignment to a duty position into the Regiment follow.
