THE VINEYARD MINISTRY REPORT

by Charmaine Palkiewicz
  • The response to our "Mothers Day-all May" project for Crisis Pregnancy Center has been warm and enthusiastic.

  • Donations of $1.00 each for names of women to be honored or memorialized will increase the "Baby Bottle Fund" considerably. The acknowledgement of those remembered will appear in the Sunday bulletin June 2nd and in Julys newsletter as well. The bottles will have been collected on May 26th.

  • To continue our support we are sending $50 to the Zimmermans in Bolivia. In the past we have supported the Lowell and Claudia Wertz missionary work in Tanzania, Africa. Recently they wrote asking for funds for care of the "Kigoma Destitute Camp". There are 40 people living there; they are all handicapped, blind, crippled, leprosy victims; unable to provide for themselves they are among the neediest and poorest on earth.
In response to this, we are sending a $100 gift which will provide medical care and basic provisions for one destitute person for one year.

  • Perhaps by now you have heard that the sutures we paid for to give the Tenwek hospital in Kenya were taken by Dr. Sandlund to the operating room to learn that surgeries were to be cancelled because they had no sutures!! Praise God! How rewarding to know that we in a church in a small town, USA could be called upon by God to bless people a world away, at the precise moment of need!! What a great God we serve!! We are so privileged!
Tom Tyson has faithfully received and copied nearly daily accounts from Dr. Sandlund at Tenwek. He continues to ask for prayers for them and his little patients. These e-mails are most interesting and inspiring and available for you to read and enjoy.
Please keep the Vineyard Ministry in your prayers as God continues to bless and direct His work through His people.
