The bears that started it all! From left to right:
Tom's, made from a Camp Tuckahoe shirt Joe "borrowed" from him. Elizabeth's made from a shirt of his she liked w/ the French for Joe, Hobie, on it. Mike's, also a shirt he "borrowed" w/ Mike's favorite team on it. And Joe's good dress shirt.
Here you can see the size difference between the large and small bears.
This large bear is made from one of Joe's jean jackets. The collar and belt are removable for casual events or outdoor adventure.
This bear is made from a shirt belonging to Joe's grandpa who passed away in May, 2003. The stain on the nose is from spaghetti that grandpa caught on his belly.
Here you can see Janet hard at work on another bear. Recently she turned Joe's old room into her little bear-makin' get away with lavender walls.
Here is a really cute and fuzzy one.
Top: Made from a sweater a young man wore.
From left to right: That also is his shirt and one of his jackets he wore racing go-carts. It was "well loved"(worn) and gave the bear plenty of personality.
This one is made from a little girl's first communion dress. The collar is made from the dress' collar and the fabric is a brocade and satin.
The "Vinnie"bear, made from a lined flanel from a dear friend who's grandkids each got a bear out of for Easter. This one is leftovers from the outside and black from the liner.
This one also is made from the leftovers of 2 shirts, a flanel and a cotton, for something soft to cuddle at night
These are Lois + Vanessa's "Todd Bears" made from a white sweater that was the only article of clothing they had from his passing in 1978.
