This pickup is a 1949 Chevy 5 window.  Ron's Grandad bought it in March of 1950, as a "49 demonstrator," at the Douglass, Ks Chevy dealership.  Since 1964 it sat in the hedge row, rotting away.  In 1990 Ron decided to restore it to it's original condition.  It took almost
10 yrs to complete, as it was completed in February of 2000.  Roger Dobbins did the final body work and paint.  Ron put it back to it's original detail, except for a 235 ci instead of a 216 ci and the paint has a clear coat on it, to give it a slight "wet look."  The 2 boys in the picture with Ron, are his son and nephew, and they are the 4th generation to drive in this pickup.

Here is Ron's dad Gene with the truck.  The photo on the right was taken in March of '52, in front of the same garage.
