The message boards were a mixed blessing. Between Season's Three and Four, the crew took some time off. They waited about one and a half months before really getting going on the punks again. In the time between these seasons, to build up anticipation, Joe designed message boards to go along with the site, in hopes that the promotion would attract more visitors. It actually worked, and there were tons of people who wanted to get the scoop on punk'd. However, a good thing quickly turned bad. A select few people literally destroyed the message boards, posting arrogant, offensive posts in literally every section. Attempts to ban these people failed due, in part to poor hosting. After Season Four, the message boards had to be taken down.
Luckily, at the start of Season Five, Joe found a reliable message board hosting service, and the boards are back up, and better than ever! |
