NWA XXX TITLE TOURNAMENT
SINGLES MATCH

Carlito Colon vs. "Marvelous" Matt Martel

Results: Both men didn't seem to want to drag this one out, the idea being to have as little wear and tear as possible going into next week's semi-final round. The match was fast paced with a lot of pinfall attempts, Martel trying any cheap move he could to keep the Puerto Rican superstar down and out, but Carlito showed a lot of heart and vitality. Carlito was able to catch Martel pretty off guard with a modified backbreaker (aka the 3.0) and get the victory in all of about 5 minutes.

NWA XXX TITLE TOURNAMENT
SINGLES MATCH

Nick Dinsmore vs. Roderick Strong

Results: Nick Dinsmore got the advance in this bout in a match that was wild and vicious, to say the least. Roderick wanted to take this to the mat, and Dinsmore was ready to ablidge at the onset, but once things got heated up, the chops and kicks and fists started flying and all hell broke loose. Roderick was showing his innovative side tonight, lining two chairs up back to back and hitting the Half Nelson Backbreaker to Dinsmore right ontop of them! The match continued into the crowd and into the backstage area. The ref didn't really know what to do about the situation at hand until Shane Douglas came out of the woodwork yelling "FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE, DAMNIT!" and that's exactly what happened. The end of this match came when Dinsmore hit a German suplex through a table backstage to get the pinfall and advance in the tournament... but not without the fight of his life.

XXX TITLE TOURNAMENT
SINGLES MATCH

"The Shooter" Brent Albright vs. Paul Birchall

Results: Paul Birchall is a lunatic, nobody can deny that after seeing a UK Suicide Squad match or two, but he happens to be a lunatic who can go on the mat. Albright thought he was doing the smart thing and taking this match to the mat and keeping the pace slow and technical, as obviously he's seen the wild brawls Birchall has been apart of, but Birchall took him off guard with his British bred technical savvy... and savagry, really, as he showed shades of Dave Taylor or Fit Finlay in his approach to grinding his opponents into the mat and making them pay. Birchall caught Albright with a pretty nasty elbow to the eyebrow that busted him open at one point, at like a shark in blood infested waters, started disorienting Albright by dropping him on his head with suplexs and slams. Birchall finished the match with a dazzling Standing Shooting Star Press to let everyone know that he's not JUST a tag team wrestler as he advances in this tournament.

XXX TITLE TOURNAMENT
SINGLES MATCH

Austin Starr w/ Jade Chung vs. CM Punk w/ Allison Danger

Pre-Match: CM Punk got on the mic before the match and said he might as well be given a bye in the tournament, as he knows damn well he can defeat a joker like Austin Starr. He says Starr is a metrosexual disgrace to the sport and that Raven has instilled in him a sense of purpose... and that purpose has a lot to do with irradicating this business of clowns like Starr. Taking no talents like Austin Starr and making them look in the mirror and try to understand just what the hell they are doing in this business. It's not going to be WINNING as long as CM Punk is around, because CM Punk is a warrior... CM Punk is straight edge... CM Punk is bird of prey in The Nest and tonight Austin Starr is the kill... most of all, it's because without all of the song and dance and glitz and glamor, and just pound for pound, CM Punk is better than everyone else in that lockerroom and everyone will know it.

Results: Austin Starr was more intense than we've ever seen him in XXX for this match after those stinging words from CM Punk and slapped CM Punk right across the face at the onset of this bout, talking trash to his face. Punk recipricated, and we had ourselves a Japanese style showdown right in the middle of the ring, slap for slap, until CM Punk unleashed a brutal backchop that sent Starr to the mat. This was a good match, albeit pretty short, with Starr shaking Punk up with moves like the Brainbuster and Corkscrew Splash for near falls, but couldn't lock on his Rings of Saturn finisher. Punk was in great form, wrestling the perfect match for this opponent, slowing Starr down by kicking his legs numerous times and locking on grapevines and using Allison Danger as a distraction when need be. The end of the match came after a uranage slam and The Devil's Lock submission, but Starr proved to everyone that he's a little more than some joke.

XXX TITLE TOURNAMENT
SINGLES MATCH

Sean O'Haire vs. Kazushi Miyamoto

Results: Kazushi Miyamoto's strategy was pretty evidant, as he attacked O'Haire's legs, trying to disarm his thunderous kicks and cat like agility. It didn't work. O'Haire showed a great threshold for pain and dished some out, hitting moves like the tilt-to-whirl slam and toture rack pancake to knock the wind out of Miyamoto's sails. O'Haire unleashed a kick assualt that saw him kick the chest and head of Miyamoto about 4 times each, and then stomp him into the ground, finishing the barrage with a hard Yakuza kick. He got Miyamoto up onto his shoulders, slammed him with the Widow Maker (Samoan Spinebuster), and then headed up top for his fabled Seanton Bomb to advance in the tournament.

TAG TEAM MATCH

David Young & John Xavier vs. America's Most Wanted ("Wildcat" Chris Harris/"Cowboy" James Storm)

Results: This is the first time we've seen Chris Harris and James Storm out of the main event in XXX and you could tell. They weren't looking to be in the best of shape tonight after a string of completely brutal matches, and they drew the shortest straw of them all getting pitted against a team as good and vicious as Young & Xavier. Harris and Storm made frequent tags, but it was more of a pity thing from Young and Xavier, who had this match well in hand. Harris and Storm faught their hearts out, looking for anything they could, but everytime they'd get the momentum, either Young or Xavier would cut it off cold with a well placed kick or suprise suplex. This match came to a hault quicking after Young nailed Harris with a Spinebuster and Xavier nailed a thrust kick to Storm to send him off the apron. These guys are on a roll like nobody could've expected at the start of XXX. They are becoming the team to beat.

XXX TITLE TOURNAMENT
SINGLES MATCH

Michael Shane w/ Mickie James vs. "The Notorious 187" Homicide w/ "J-Train" Julius Smokes

Results: Match of the night. Period. There was a lot of tension in this match, as Mickie James and Julius Smokes were going insane and pumping the crowd into it with every move as Michael Shane tried to avenge Homicide's "cheap shot" on James a couple of weeks back. Both men were out to hurt the other, as we saw both blatantly choking the other and busting each other open with closed fists... no weapons, just straight up fists. The only weapon used in this match was a table, which Michael Shane put Homicide through a Picture Perfect Elbow from the turnbuckle to the floor, getting a nice "Holy Shit!" from the crowd at the sheer elevation Shane got on that move and the impact. Homicide came back, though, proving why he's widely considered the best wrestler going today. Shane hit him with a superkick out of nowhere, though, and thought it was over... but it wasn't. He measured him up and hit another. It still wasn't over. Shane went up top, looking for his elbowdrop... but Homicide staggered his way up and fling himself at the ropes, which sent Shane crotch first ontop of the turnbuckle. Homicide went up top and everyone thought he was going for a Super Ace Crusher, but instead he hit a PILEDRIVER FROM THE TOP! It took him a second to make the cover and it was a second too long, as Shane shrugged the shoulder. Homicide was pissed and measured Shane up... CLOTHESLINE FROM BROOKLYN! ONE-TWO-THRE-NO! Shane shrugged it up again. He should've stayed down, though, as moments later he was up on Homicide's back and down with the COP KILLA DANGEROUS!!! It was an academic victory after that, but one that took a lot out of both men.

Post Match: Homicide waited around and seemed to be wanting to shake Shane's hand after the match, but as he went to do it, Homicide pulled him in and nailed him with a T-Bone Suplex! Mickie James was going insane and jumped on Homicide's back after that, trying to scratch his eyes out, but Julius Smokes pulled her off and Homicide went looking for an Ace Crusher... no, wait, he switched it up... Oh, God, no... COP KILLA ON MICKIE JAMES, DANGEROUSSS!!! The fans were going insane for that turn of events, I'll tell you that much. Only in XXX could you get away with that shit and come out MORE LOVED than before. Homicide is completely ruthless and a man to be feared.

NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
SINGLES MATCH

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles (c) vs. "Da Bad Guy" Scott Hall

Pre Match: Hall got a pretty good reaction, but the reaction for Styles was just... well... "phenomenal". Styles held his title high and proud, and stated that he's in XXX and he's in XXX TO STAY and says SO IS THE BELT! He says that tonight he's facing a true legend, Scott Hall, and is honored to be doing so, but he says there is no way Hall is walking out of Orlando... or anywhere with his title belt. Hall took the mic and was like, "Hey yo..." and proudly proclaimed that he's not dead yet and Styles can save the "legend" crap, he's here to wrestle. No, scratch that, chico... he's here for that World Heavyweight title belt!

Results: Okay, so Hall isn't exactly in the best shape of his life. He's not getting any younger. He's not really even trying to hide the gray in his hair anymore... but damn, is he still entertaining in the ring! He had the crowd in his hands as he pulled out the old trademark taunts and moves, like a Fallaway Suplex with such velocity that AJ actually landed FACE FIRST on the mat! Styles superior in the ring, though, and anybody could see that, catching Hall off guard with his Pele kick and Asai DDT and Phenomenonrana, but the fans still seemed to really enjoy this match, even if it wasn't really the best either man has ever had. Hall came back with a flury of right hands near the end of the match and caught AJ with one of his own signatures, the discus lariat, which got the fans charged. He seemed to be attempting the Razor's Edge, but Styles was able to roll through it and sunset Hall over and right into the Styles Clash! It was enough to send Hall packing.

Post Match: Hall got on the mic and said he was beaten fair and square, mang... fair and square. He says what he's seen tonight and what he just experienced is the future of the business and that's just... too... sweet. He proceeded to raise AJ's hand in the middle of the ring, as wrestlers like CM Punk, Matt Martel, America's Most Wanted, and Nick Dinsmore hit the stage and gave them a round of applause with the crowd, showing their appreciation in a truly touching moment.
