FONES
The Fones arrived in America from England in the 1880's. The Fones were very much involved in The Potteries at Stoke-on-Trent, England.  Our oldest known Fone ancestor is John Allen Fone, born in 1797.  Our line continues through his son, William Henry Fone, and his son John Allen Fone who emigrated with his family, including the very young Francis Allen Fone, Eric's great-grandfather.  They settled in New Jersey.  Francis's son in our line is Paul Harold Fone, who moved to East Liverpool, OH, and his son is David Harold Fone, Eric's father.

Many thanks to Eric's Uncle Kenny in Wyoming and Cousin Diana in England for their research and contributions to the Fone history.
