| Abbie Bailer Klee was Joellen's great-great grandmother. Her parents were Cosmus Bailer and Sarah Slough. We only recently found out that they were buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware, Ohio. Above are the Bailer stones, most of which were illegible. We'll have to go back sometime when we can make charcoal rubbings of the stones. Cosmus's stone is probably the right front one. He lived from 1810 to 1893. Sarah's stone is fairly certainly the middle front stone. She lived from 1817 to 1899. The back right stone is probably their daughter Maria Bailer Fritz's. I'm not certain of the other stones right now. We do not know who Cosmus' or Sarah's parents are. In the 1880 Census their last name is spelled Bailor. They both claim to have been born in Pennsylvania, and listed their parents as all being born in Pennsylvania except for Sarah's father who was listed as born in Germany. Cosmus was an Iron Moulder, and living with them was son Silas (Cyrus), age 27. |
