How Did Life Changing Ministries Begin?

If it were not for the day he almost died, Joe would have never opened his eyes and wanted to turn his life around…

It was September 24, 1996 when tragedy struck!  It was 6:00 PM, it was getting dark, and it was raining.  Joe was pedaling his bike on Old Bridge Rd. in Brielle, NJ and headed towards Highway 35.  As he crossed the highway, a car doing sixty miles per hour hit him.  Joe was thrown from his bike and landed about twenty feet from the place where he was hit.  All the traffic stopped!  The car had been totaled and the front hood was compressed into the back seat.  Blood was everywhere as Joe’s limp, bloody, and unconscious body lay in the middle of the intersection.

Just seconds after he was hit, an off duty ambulance from Jersey Shore Trauma Center drove by the scene of the accident.  Their EMT put an oxygen mask over Joe’s face and rushed him to the trauma unit in Neptune, NJ.  Joe was in a coma for two weeks and his face was completely unrecognizable.  His nose was literally smashed deep inside his face and his right eye was cut so badly the physicians believed he had lost it.  His mouth and lips were demolished and he had reconstructive surgery to correct the damage to his face.  He was given a quart of blood and was kept alive on life-support.  The surgeons performed an emergency tracheotomy surgery to his throat and implanted a gastro-feeding tube in his stomach.  With just a one percent chance of survival and having three hemorrhages in his brain, Joe’s parents were told he would die.

Fourteen days later, however, the unexpected occurred!  Joe cracked his knuckles and his eyes opened.  The doctors were amazed!  They were stunned at his unexpected resurrection and claimed his healing must have been the result of a very powerful God.  Once they realized Joe was going to survive, they transferred him to another hospital in Toms River, NJ for rehabilitation.  While there, Joe learned to walk, talk, eat, and bathe all over again.  He put in perspective what it was like to be disabled.

Joe was discharged from the hospital within nine months of his car accident and soon realized the amazing work that God had done in his life.  As a result, Joe accepted God’s priceless gift of salvation and chose to enter a life of happiness with Jesus Christ!  When Joe dedicated himself to the Lord, he not only secured his future in Heaven, but also obtained peace, fulfillment, meaning, direction, and purpose from God.

Shortly after his conversion, Joe made it a habit to evangelize on a daily basis.  He would ride the train to New York City in order to pass out Bibles and tracts in the ghettos.  He also evangelized in nearby areas surrounding his home; such as the mall, movie theater, coffee shops, and boardwalk.  In the process, he developed a godly reputation among the youth, young adults, homeless, gangs, outcasts, and addicted and officially founded Life Changing Ministries with the IRS at the age of nineteen.

Although Life Changing Ministries touched many souls for Christ, Joe resigned in December 2006.  To contact him today, please email: [email protected].

Have a great day!  Today could be the day you see your miracle!
