The Couple That Never Happened

Ok well I don't own FRIENDS and I'm not saying that I do. I do own Courtney and Jake though. But I'm not big on legalities just PLEASE don't sue me! But please review it!

The gang is just hanging out at the Central Perk like they normally do.

"Well I got to run guys. Charlene will kill me if I am late again. See you later!" Chandler said. He picked up his coat and kissed Monica good-bye. "Wouldn't wanna make Charlene wait." Joey said slyly. "Heard that!" Chandler yelled back to Joey. This was there natural routine. Ross laughed. Monica and Rachel and Pheobe glared at Joey but they were all so close their glares didn't mean anything. And after about 10 seconds they started laughing too. "So Pheobes how is you and Jake?" Rachel asked her. "O were good." said Pheobe with that look if you know what I'm talking about and a smile. Jake was Pheobe's true love. She had never felt that way about anyone. Not even the scientist that moved to Minsk. "Who hasn't seen the honeymoon pictures?" Monica asked the group trying to change the subject. They all said that they hadn't so they all went up to Monica and Chandler's apartment to look.

The next day Pheobe comes running into Joey's apartment crying hysterically ripping some picture up. Joey is throwing wet paper towels at the wall trying to beat his record. "Woah Pheobes what's wrong?" Joey asked her and gave her a big hug. "Jake he (sniff) and that slut from (sniff) and-" and then Pheobe broke down and cried on Joey. "Pheobes it's all right. Calm down and tell Joey what happened. Hey! I'll order the Joey special." Joey sat Phoebe down and picked up the phone and ordered two pizzas. Pheobe stopped crying and waited for Joey to finish arguing with the pizza person over whether u should charge extra for toppings. Joey hung up and sat down with Pheobe. "Is Rachael here?" Pheobe asked Joey. "No she's out clubbing with her sisters. Don't ask I don't know. They do it like once a month." Joey replied. "OK now can you tell Joey what happened with Jake?" Joey said and sat down with Pheobe. "Well out of nothing Jake just called me and said we had to talk so we went to Central Perk and he said he was sorry but he couldn't stay in a relationship with me because he cared about me too much and then he left. That was bull shit by the way. If he really cared he wouldn't have- well I'm getting of the point. Where was I? O right. So I just sat there stupidly for a while and then I got up and I was gonna go to my place to cry and I got out of Central Perk and who did I see making out with that slut, Courtney, from the bar? Jake! Everything he had ever told me about me being his only one. EVERYTHING was a lie. And it hit me then so I ran home and grabbed this photo he gave me of himself and tore it up and I thought that this was a time I needed my friends." Pheobe looked up at Joey and smiled. She went on with her story. "And usually everyone's at Monica and Chandlers but no one was. So I came here looking for Rachael. Sorry it's just a girl thing. Not that I didn't want you. And you're here." Pheobe stopped crying and smiled at Joey. She had never noticed how sweet he was. Joey was about to say something when the doorbell rang. "Now who he hell rings the doorbell?" Joey said confused. "THE PIZZA!" Joey ran to the door and let the pizza guy up. Pheobe reached for her purse because she knew Joey never had any money. Joey told her he'd take care of it though so Pheobe put her purse down. "Joey was being so sweet. Why hadn't she noticed it before?" Pheobe thought to herself. They ate the pizzas and talked more about Jake. At one point Pheobe started crying again so Joey hugged her close. Pheobe looked up at him and they started kissing passionately. They had both kissed tons of people but no kiss had ever felt like that. They broke away and they didn't talk. They moved to Joey's room… (AN: ok I'm not good at being descriptive here so use your imagination)

The next day Pheobe woke up next to Joey. She saw her clothes on the floor. She shut her eyes and smiled. She started to think. Breaking up with Jake was the best brake up she'd ever had. She couldn't believe Joey had been right there for so long and she had only thought of him as stupid, fun, friend Joey. But then she thought "well Chandler and Monica are together, Rachel and Ross were together, me and Joey had to get together eventually. Were the only ones that haven't". She knew that Joey could sleep until noon if he wanted to. She looked at the clock. 9:30, Joey wouldn't be up for a while. She got up and got dressed. She sat in the big leather chairs and watched television. After about 20 minutes Rachel walked out of her room sleepily in her jammies. She yawned, said hi to Pheobe and walked over to the fridge for something to eat. "Aren't those the clothes you wore yesterday?" Rachael said not thinking anything of it. Before Pheobe could say anything. Rachael said in a different tone of voice looking up from her cereal figuring it out "Those ARE the clothes you wore yesterday. Oh my god! You and Joey! Oh Pheobes this is wonderful! Wait what happened to Jake?" Rachael said in a rush. Pheobe decided not to be like Chandler and Monica were and just tell the truth. "Ok well see Jake called me and said we had to talk so we went to Central Perk and he said he was sorry but he couldn't stay in a relationship with me because he cared about me too much and then he left. That was bull shit by the way. So I just sat there stupidly for a while and then I got up and I was gonna go to my place to cry and I got out of Central Perk and who did I see making out with that slut, Courtney, from the bar? Jake! Everything he had ever told me about me being his only one. EVERYTHING was a lie. And it hit me then so I ran home and grabbed this photo he gave me of himself and tore it up and I came here to talk to you and you weren't here and Joey was and…" Pheobe trailed off leaving Rachael to figure out the rest on her own. "Oh Pheobes I'm so sorry about Jake. You really thought he was the one. But oh yay for you and Joey!" Rachael said. "You and Joey," she went on. "You two are so alike I guess you had to find each other eventually. Oh and what if you get married? And you have kids! I can see three little kids growing up with us. Little Chloe, Jerry and Becky." Rachael said getting excited. "Wait!" Rachael suddenly said her smile turning into a frown. "If you move in I'll have to move out. Again ill have to move because my roommate found someone and I still have no one." Rachael said pouting. She sank into the stool at the counter. "Woah Rach. Don't think that way! If that happens it won't be for a very long time." Pheobe said. Just then the phone rang. Rachael picked it up. "Hello… Um ya who is calling… Why are you calling you stupid, no-good, backstabbing, son-of-a-bitch that deserves to…" "Rach who is it?" Pheobe asked. "Jake sweetie hold on." Rachael said. She was about to yell at Jake some more when Pheobe grabbed the phone. "Jake?" Pheobe asked. "Pheobe! Oh I am so sorry for what you had to see. I love you darling. You are the only one for me. Courtney means nothing to me. I realized that when I saw you run away. If I had lost you for good I don't know what I would have done but it would not have been pleasant." Jake said. Pheobe didn't care. "Look Jake. I two thought we had something. But if you can blow it all away with Courtney then that is your choice. I can't make you love and I don't want to. I don't want to love you. And what is this shit about I'm the only one for you? Like I have never heard that before. What do you think I am? Half brain dead? Get real!" Pheobe slammed the phone down. "Go Pheobes!" Joey and Rachael screamed. Joey had woken up and heard every word of Pheobe's conversation. Pheobe is not a good person to stick up for herself so when she did to Jake Joey and Rachael was happily pleased. They both hugged her. The phone rang again. "Let me get it. I bet I know who it is." Pheobe said. She had enjoyed sticking up for herself and wanted to do it more. "Hello?" She said sweetly into the phone. "Pheobe please. I have a knife to my throat. I have no reason to live if I am going to have to live with out you." Jake said quietly and sorrowfully. "Jake that puts me in a position," Pheobe said starting to stress out but she wasn't rude to Jake. "Pheobe, I just want you to know that I love you and I hate myself for what I did. I am so sorry. I can't say I'm sorry enough. Now please take me back." Jake said. Pheobe thought he was being sincere. It sounded like he might cry. Pheobe realized how much she missed him. After a long pause Pheobe said "Jake? The answer is ok. Ill take you back. Ill be over in a couple minutes ok? Bye!" Pheobe said and hung up the phone. She turned around and saw Joey and Rachael's shocked faces. She realized what she had just done to Joey "Joey I-" Pheobe started to say but Joey cut her off. "It's ok Pheobes. You did what you had to. Last night was great. But I don't think I could think of you in a romantic way. Go get Jake." Joey said smiling but you could tell he was lying and that he wanted to cry. "Ok Joey. Thank you for everything." Pheobe gave him a hug. Rachael was still in shock and just standing there. Her cereal had long turned soggy. Joey went into his room saying he wanted to take a nap. Pheobe left calling bye to Rachael.

Less than five minutes had passed when Joey suddenly burst out of his room and grabbed his coat. "Were you going Joey?" Rachael said in a depressed way. By now her cereal was mush and she was just pushing it around the bowl with her spoon. "Pheobe. I love Pheobe and I have a bad feeling about this guy. I'm going to get her." Joey said. "Oh Joey!" Rachael hugged him and let him leave. He ran to Jake's apartment. By the time he got there Pheobe had all ready been there for 15 minutes because she took a cab…

Pheobe reached Jake's apartment. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Jake opened it. Jake smiled slyly and said. "Pheobe I'm sorry I have to do this." He raped her and started beating her and cutting her with knives. He drugged her. After about 15 minutes she had long lost the strength to yell in pain. She was barely alive when Jake was about to stab her in the heart to finish her off when the doorbell rang. Jake quickly dressed Pheobe and covered her with the sheets and answered the door. "Where is she?" Joey asked madly before Jake even said anything. "Who are you talking about?" Jake asked innocently. "You know who you little bastard. Pheobe. I love her. You don't." Joey said. Pheobe was regaining strength and she could hear it. She gathered all the strength she could muster and threw off the sheet and yelled as hard as she could "Joey!" Joey ran to her and hugged her. "I'm so sorry I can't believe I was so stupid." Pheobe said over and over and cried. "It's ok just hold on and we'll get you out of here," Joey said. He picked her up out of the bed and turned around and Jake punched him. Joey and Jake got into a fistfight while Pheobe crawled over to the phone and desperately called the police. She desperately tried to make them stop. But she had no energy. The police were there incredibly fast and they broke up Joey and Jake. They arrested Jake and thanked Joey for rescuing Pheobe. "Who knows what could have happened if you didn't show up young man." The police said to Joey. Pheobe was brought to the hospital and Joey rode with her. In the hospital Joey was forced to wait outside. He paced around until they let him in. "I love you," they both said at the same time. They hugged and the next day Pheobe was out of the hospital. Phoebe and Joey got together as official boyfriend/girlfriend.
