The 200lb class and the Heavy weight class are believed to be pretty accurate.

NEWS
With the Nationals only a few more sleeps away, what a perfect time to do an update.  This update will be called...
NATIONALS UPDATE
The 2002 Nationals held in North Bay will be the first time the Canadian Championships were held in Ontario since 1998 in Thunder Bay.

With this event being promoted by "Big" Luke Laport, the expectations are high, to say the least.  Luke has done an excellent job with tournaments in the past, and with the amount of work by Luke and the Nationals committee, this  promises to be a first class event.

Here now are the Steamer Armwrestling, 2002 Canadian National Championship predictions.  Last year there was mention that if I was wrong I would eat a hat.  This year I promise to remain 100%,(like last year), but there will be no hat eating.  That includes caps, visors, helmets, sombraros, turbins, and en francais, les chapeau.

In no particular order, class or hand, these men will(should) walk away victorious.

Mike Gould
Devon Larratt
Troy Eaton
George Izakouits
Garth Carlson
Nic Conley
Pat Mastrangelo

Team Champion- Ontario

Now I realize that these predictions might be a little bias, but what can you expect.  If there is a strong team by Quebec, the results could be a little different because Sylvain Perron would probably crush any class he enters.

Good luck to all, especially those who will be competing against this group of crushers.
