The house of Estruch is
located on a quiet side Street off the "Avenida de las Americas",
in the "Sueno" area, where also are located the Santiago de
Cuba and Las Americas Hotels. Stores and entertainment are nearby as well
as car/moto rental agencies.
The house and rooms
are immaculately kept. In the rear is a cosy patio. The atmosphere is very
much like a family setting.
Estruch, his wife and two
daughters, both University students, form a nice family and will
do everything possible to make you feel at home.
The house is also quite popular to young (and quite a few older) students from abroad, who study Spanish privately or at the nearby University, or take Cuban dancing lessons at the local Studio. Such activities are sponsored by several international organisations specializing in such services and can be located on the Internet.
Estruch can arrange your
transportation and is well known in the Santiago area and beyond,
since he is a retired military veteran, who participated in the revolution.
In general, if you have
some special interest, ask Estruch first, such as organizing a trip
to the Salton, to the Gran Piedra or the Caleton Blanco beach or whatever,
he knows all the spots and activities.
