MID ARMAGH B CHAMPIONSHIP

MADDEN RAPAREES  0 - 11      1 - 09  (roughly) ARMAGH HARPS

After a poor display in Abbey Park, Madden were out to set the record straight, against a Harps side who are favourites to win the competition. Madden fought well in the first half and the Harps knew they were in a game right from the start after Kyle Morgan scored the first point. Minor Manager Micky Grimley really loves Kyles style and told him so after some more Kyle-showboating. Both sides exchanged points throughout the half and it was only for a lucky break that the Harps full forward found himself in a one on one with the goalkeeper which he finished to the net. Madden trailed at half time 1 - 5 to 5 points.

2 Times Ulster Interfirms Winner Vincent Mc Cusker was playing a stormer as was Brian Morgan who loves his new position in defense. Micky Grimley was slightly disapointed not to a receive a short ball during the second half and took his fustrations out on the flag. Madden fought back scoring point after point eating into the Harp's four point lead. Madden was then denied a goal chance in the dying minutes when Micky Grimley's shot was brilliantly saved by the Harps goalie. This surley would have won the game for Madden and when the final whistle went there was only a point between the sides and no-one was in any doubt if the game had have went on any longer who the victors would have been. The Harps celebrated reaching the final at the whisle and Beavis Devlin took the following day off work.
