Madden looked like they were going to run away with it in the first half with an inspired display. Two times Ulster Interfirms Winner Vincent Mc Cusker got Madden's first goal fisting to the net after some good aproach play from Stevey Smith. Kyle Morgan was unlucky not to score Madden's second goal when his shot went across the face of the goal after rounding the keeper. Madden's second goal was scored by Beavis and the third was scored by Stevey Morgan who finished after a long run from the wing back position. Madden looked to be coasting at this point with a lot of room being found in the �gs defence more goals looked on the cards. Then disaster struck when Stevey Smith became the 3rd player in a week to dislocate their finger. Copying b*****. Bomber was doing well in goals pulling off some good saves and finding his man with the kickouts. He was aided on one occassion by Decky who headed the ball of the line to safety, showboating as Madden were leading 3 - 05 to 6 points at that time. The break saw Bomber giving way to Paddy Woods which was a bad manovre as his 60 yard kickouts were being picked up better by the Ogs. amazingly the �gs turned the deficiet around to lead by four points. Madden only registering a single point in the second half. Without Stevey Smith and bomber Madden struggled. Four points down and in injury time Madden pushed for a goal and had a shot cleared off the line by a Pearse Og defender after it had beat the keeper initially. The final whistle went and Madden dropped their first 2 points at home this year.
