| Madden 0 - 15 1 - 10 St. Peter's Madden's season is back on track again after the best display produced this season so far which seen league leaders, St. Peter's cut down to size. Although there were 2 points in it at the end Madden lead throughout the score being 10 3 before Saints scored a soccer type goal before the break which left four in it at half time. Shane Mc Kenna was so confident of a Madden victory that he played the whole match wearing a pair of baggy kaks that are the height of fashion in Toronto this weather I hear. Decky Mc Elvenna had his reservations about referee Dooley before the match, stating that he had even sent him off before!! Francy Bellew was a collusus at full back or Johnny Woods was I mean and Pat Spillane did a lot of damage on the 40. Monkey Mc Conville or is it Mc Kenna had a good game at corner forward with very accurate kicks at the uprights all he has to do now is add some height. Paddy O S Grimley had a great game at midfield and proved that anyone who dislocates their finger and dosn't play on is a total wuss. Its a good job Kevin Mc Elvenna was there to sort the thing out that's all ill say. Paddy Cristie did a great job marking Peter's danger man in corner forward before injury lead to him being replaced by Greame Geraty. Kieran Mc Geeney had a great game at centre half back. Maddens forwards were in top form with Stephen 'Mc Donell' Smith , Stephen 'Mc Donell' Mc Elvenna and Tony Mc Elvenna notching up great scores. With one half of the season under their belts Madden look to have turned the corner and wiill look forward to the rematch with Derrynoose in Raparee Park next time out. |
