With this game supposed to be the Championship decider instead of the league decider the stakes were high at raparee park. Madden fought well in the first half and there wasn't much in it at half time. It was also noted during this game that Joe Mallon would probably be a far better player if he wore a gum shield. There are a few referees in Armagh who would be in total agreement with that. Things were even stephen till the nab scored a goal in a crucial point inthe game and followed up with 2 furthur scores to end the game. With two mins to go it was time for impact sub John Monaghan to get warmed up as he would be introuduced in about two mins. The nab full back noted alot of knits under Joe Mallons arm and gave him a hand picking them out. Joe rewarded his marker by giving him some water, although I think he would have preferred to have held the bottle himself rather than have it splashed round him and his team mates.
