Jubal E. Harshaw, "LL.B, M.D., Sc.D., bon vivant, gourmet, sybarite, popular author extraordinary, and neo-pessimist philosopher" (81) was the man who took Jill and me in, after I had left the hospital. He lived at his house, with only 3 secretaries, Anne, Mirian, Dorcas and two other people, Duke and Larry. He and his extensive libary helped me to grok the English language, and the individual words within. He always was, and will be, my father.
