Snowden on Ice(97) and Raggedy Ann & Andy Snowden on Ice (98) were available at Target and probably will be next Christmas.

Magic Memories on Ice (ABC) shows highlights of Scott' amateur programs (no complete programs) also clips of him receiving his medal in Sarajevo, a brief interview and some footage of him doing figures. Note Video Sports Production lists this as out of print--if you see it in a store BUY IT!

Magic Memories on Ice II includes 1985 "Battle Hymn of the Republic" one of my favorite programs. This tape includes other wonderful exhibitions of great skaters.

Ice Skating Showcase These are programs from World Pro Competitions in Landover in the 80s--Scott skates a cute routine to "When I'm 64" from 1986.

These tapes can all be found at most video stores or from
Video Sports Productions -
Or Rainbo Sports (they have lots of neat skating stuff)

If you know of any other videos with performances of Scott .. please let me know
[email protected]

Please don't ask me to make you video tapes...you have no idea how many people ask and I just don't have the time to make a tape for everyone who wants one. Sorry.

You can find other skating tapes by clicking the Reel.com icon:

Why are there not more Skating Tapes Available Commercially?

There isn't that great a market for them. The reason why Video Sports tapes are so expensive is that they don't sell that many.

Music Copyright. In order to sell a video with a skating performance in it, the producer must secure the copy rights from the owner of the music copy right. This is EXTREMELY expensive--almost prohibitively so.

Skating agents are reluctant to release videos of their clients because they fear too many videos will keep people from going to live shows. We know THAT's ridiculous, but that's that's the way they think.

So don't expect any commercial tapes any time soon. :-(
