The audience was extremely appreciative and gave Scott standing ovations. His performance of With One More Look at You was emotional and we were in tears. In the Oz number The Show Must Go On ; he lived the part as he's busy changing his costume. When he was turning
into the Cowardly Lion, he tugged out his tail and oops! -- it came off! He just gave this look and a shrug to the audience (the show must go on, we know!) and he skated around while trying to reattach the tail to the back of his costume. When the song reaches the part; The I'm sure to get a heart, a home, a brain, the nerve he pointedly looked behind him to see if his tail is still there.
Some of the *wow* jumps of the evening were Paul's triple lutz, Brians salchow, Kurt;s loop and salchow, and Kristis, Katarina's and Rozs axels. Paul was hilarious as the skating coach for Gorsha and Rene in Fun and Games. He really seemed as if he was having fun -- it was nice to see. Kurt did a great job, whether in hockey skates or his usual skates, and was too fast for many of my photo shots. Ekaterina wore her red costume in the playful Gershwin number, rather than the white. Denis seems to be smiling more, but few can project a smile as bright as Elenas in Joue Jusquau Matin.
