NEWS
Summer of '07 will be Rockin'!!!
Well now....school is out and the kids are out playing and driving their parents crazy. Big thanks to my New Haven students and their parents for an awesome year....the band has never sounded better.
I am teaching rock bands at the Enchanted Garden conservatory in Danbury. I am having a blast working with young kids. At the end of each 2-week session, these kids put on a performance at the conservatory studio. Special thanks to Noah Hirt-Manheimmer for this fun opportunity.
And speaking of Noah...... the Rosnocerous project (did I spell it right???) will be performing in September on the New Haven green. It will be interesting to look down off the stage and watch my students from New Haven there. It has been way too long and I am really looking forward to playing with the Enchanted Garden Allstars once again.
The Frayd gigs are postponed to the fall at Smokin' Sandie's. FRAYD will be opening for Marci Lynn's band in July at Daniel St....check it out! Also looking for new venues to play at too...any suggestions in YOUR town???
Marci Lynn seems to be the group that I will be doing the majority of my shows with this summer. We are adding new material, and with Jeremy Goldsmith and Mike Tierney on board, I cannot wait. You may find me on a Tuesday night here and there in Middletown CT sitting in with Boomer (if he lets me.... jager please??!!) ;)
Lastly, I now am hosting karaoke shows!!! Yes it is true, I am finally doing it.... it is a lot of fun. Many thanks to Backstreet Entertainment for this gig! You can catch me at the Dew Drop Inn in Derby on Saturdays. "Do drop in!!!"

PROJECTS
F R A Y D
This is a group that has me playing bass 50% of the time and SINGING the other half of the time! Well...actually now it is like 75% - 25% (I sing less...thank goodness!) It is a new responsibility with a lot of challenges, but I am learning. I share this role with my big brother Dean Pietrorazio, playing bass and singing. Frank Durham is on guitar, and Chris Mulhall is on drums. These three individuals played together in the progressive band AUTUMN VALE back in the early 90's so they have great chemistry. I am excited to play with them and look forward to our next shows.
Marci Lynn's "Worth the Wait" CD is now available. She is a very talented young lady...also from Waterbury, and is just breaking into the scene. Already she has had a huge CD release party and has played live on WPLR. Very sweet person as well. In addition, she owes me 3 more shots! PAY UP! ;) Disc # 2 is coming out very soon, and Jeremy is doing a great job with it thus far!
Rosnocerous (Enchanted Garden All-Stars)
This group is an ensemble that mixes funk & jazz with a world music sound. The band is led by Noah Hirt-Manheimer, who is an accomplished composer/guitarist/MIDI-iot/all-around-nice-guy. The band also features his brother Issacs on African/Latin percussion, and his lovely sister Mimi on vocals, Matt Model on drums, Larry Deming on violin, and James Kesler on woodwinds. This group has a LOT of different styles happening within it and I am VERY excited about this project. See ya at Danbury!!
Terri is someone I have known for years, originally we met when she did backup vocals for the Eric's Rapture project. She is highly determined to release her first CD this year, and has asked me to be the bassist. I am very honored to help her and look forward to the shows we will be playing this summer.
This girl has explosive talent! Very experienced and natural performer!! I have known her for years and I was excited to finally share the stage with Carrie. I look forward to many more performances with her. Kevin and Jacques are also in the band and are INCREDIBLE NYC studio musicians. Thanks for hiring me and keep rocking! "Ya make me miserable.........WHOA OH!!!" ;)

Lisa Cobham
Lisa Cobham is a parent of students at one of the schools I teach at. She has recently hired me to play upright bass with her on some of her shows. She is an AMAZING jazz-opera singer and recently one first place in a state-wide collegiate voice competition for the year of 2005. She is also the daughter of the reknowned jazz drummer Billy Cobham.
